And then I filled the tax returns in (to stop any further penalties being incurred) and filled in an appeal form on the 09/04/2024.

Will the penalty get frozen while I am appealing?

@HMRCcustomers I need some help regarding a tax return for the years 2020 and 2021, I was employed these years and didn’t need to fill one out, however I’ve been penalised for it

@HMRCcustomers I have filled in a appeal form and set a physical letter to the main office as advised during the first phone call.

However my penalty is now over £1000.

I really need some help on this as I don’t want to end up further out of pocket.
