Excellent post by @JustLisa2010 following evidence of @helensteel12 at UCPI inquiry - when the Lisa and the others first came together fifteen years ago to discuss holding cops accountable - they really struggled with question of genuine feelings - glad that lie is laid to rest
‘Genuine feelings’ and #spycops abuses - a response to @JustLisa2010 to the outrageous statement yesterday by John Mitting, chair of the Undercover Policing Inquiry https://t.co/O5CJifyepL
@ucpinquiry where are the exhibits that have been put into evidence this week for the public to view and media to report on? This has been a vital week of the #spycops inquiry and these being available in a timely manner is vital for clarity, inclusivity and transparency.
Correction - we realise we should have said:
"Steel vehemently disagrees with his take on it.
She's spent literally DECADES thinking A LOT about this issue."
Until that moment, Mitting hadn't made it obvious just how gullible he is when it comes to believing the #spycops' lies.
Difficult & vital. Without @helensteel12 this inquiry would not be happening. The women in our group would have never found each other. This #spycops scandal would never have been exposed. We are immensely proud of her for today & all the years that have led up to this day.

@tombfowler From the sounds of him, think he probably was upset anti racist activists were trying to stop him (and probably a whole work party from Special Branch) getting to see Screwdriver that evening, and therefore anything that happened was completely justified and rational #spycops
