@SaskLass Look for local farmers and butchers. The supermarkets have lost their minds. We are considering buying an entire cow between us and a group of friends, and pay for the cow and butchering. I’m positive we can beat the grocery store price, and fill up my deep freeze.
@sideen_dan@mario4thenorth The real question is, are your elbows still up? Imagine if Pierre had managed this turn of affairs. You’d be crying for blood.
@JohnLeePettim13@Sheilaanne2191 I built an entire career and a very comfortable lifestyle doing not one thing that I went to university for. Get out there and get working, or learn a trade. Universities are just indoctrination centers anymore anyway.
Piece by piece, over the last decade, things have been taken away from me: my wife, my balance, my career, my friends, my health, my ability to walk.
Yet I remain optimistic for the future. I have a wonderful relationship with my beautiful housemate, I have people in my life who love me. My home is warm and comfortable, my view is ever changing and interesting. I’m a generally happy guy.
But I am not optimistic about Canada. My housemate and I are exploring ways we can escape this madhouse and live somewhere less oppressive.
I do not think Mark Carney should be our Prime Minister. I believe he should be on trial for treason for reasons too obvious to enumerate here. I believe Canada is in a state of controlled demolition, meant to collapse our society and usher in a new regime– one that is far less free and less wealthy, more personally restrictive.
In 10 years the people who support the Liberal party will pretend that they didn’t believe in it, and they were just like the rest of us who could recognize what was happening since the first Trudeau election win. The rest of us will not forget.
@RebelRancher We weren’t allowed to eat fancy cereals. I think the craziest thing I ever ate as a kid was maybe one of those individual boxes of Lucky Charms. You know – the boxes that open up and become the bowl.
@RebelNewsOnline@ezralevant Analogy: the toilet is broken, and there’s feces and urine all over the floor, and the liberals keep wanting to add more plumbing.
"We're hearing Ottawa may allow more South American beef into Canada. Great news for consumers looking for more choice and potentially lower prices.
But if that's the plan, Ottawa should also stop burdening Canadian cattle producers with costly regulations that make our own beef industry less competitive. You can't claim to support Canadian agriculture while making it harder for Canadian farmers to compete."
Damn it @Rogers … sure Shaw was a smaller regional company, but at least someone would answer a phone one in a while. I’ve been trying to switch my internet package down to a different plan. Been at 2 hrs and counting…
@wealthmoose@JoanneB40359065 Reminder, when it was farmers and other workers who were protesting the government, the cops were in there with boots and truncheons, beating and arresting people. What’s missing from the video above?
@Monica_Dagny Whenever we visited my grandmother, we had KFC for supper. But back then it tasted fantastic — a real treat. Now it just tastes like failure and regret.
@dubsndoo Conservatives who go after other conservatives with some kind of purity test are really missing the big picture – let’s get rid of the collectivists first and then we can worry about the details.
@Cjpearson I disagree. Someone’s personal beliefs shouldn’t have any bearing on their ability to do their job or being chosen for employment. We aren’t the other side…
