The transaction of funds between the government and private insurance companies was ultimately left to be monitored by the companies themselves, which who knows what they did with said funds.

Guess who lobbied against it? Insurance companies and the AMA.

@TomM7621 @MetamateDaz To be fair, if healthcare were more affordable, thus making it more accessible, Americans would be able to stay ontop of their health, giving more citizens peace of mind, along with the inclination to have steadier health check-up. This in turn however is not at all “profitable”.
