One day we'll look back and say:
Hey, remember when climate change was so mild there was talk of reversing it? So mild in fact that people could deny it?
If no other good comes from this, I hope more companies and individuals realize that their work can efficiently be done from home and that we can live with a few less flights.
@suzynotes@phylogenomics Here's a few! Trans Pecos Copperhead, Western Ground snake, Chihuahuan Nightsnske, Lined snake, another Western Ground snake, and a Prairie Ringneck. :)
@CrawliesWithCri I'd keep as warm as possible but he should be fine with getting around/below 60F as long as he can warm up tomorrow! Shoebox with rags in bed with you is an option! Hope you can get electric back soon!
@suzynotes @RenGuste22 @edge_nature @TTFNC Could be a little bit. Looks like he probably froze, hoping he's not seen, waiting for an opportunity to dash. Haha
@suzynotes @RenGuste22 @edge_nature @TTFNC Looks pretty normal to me, it may be its body conforming to an uneven surface or just in a tight "s" pattern.
This 1' tall oak sapling was given to a kid at a "kid's day out" 5 years ago. That kid was my little brother and it is now a 14 foot tall tree! Don't forget that this is THE time to plant trees in Texas! 🌳

Can urban agriculture come to the rescue of Biodiversity?
A Trans Pecos Ratsnake as found. I can also see two spiders and a millipede in the picture. I probably didn't notice them at the time due to snake excitement! (And the fact that I had seen hundreds of spiders and millipedes that night.)
