@DougWahl1 Kind of. Like him or not, he's the sitting President and part of American history. Sometimes the office deserves respect even when the person holding it doesn't.
@KDRusha@CFOthegrog@DonaAime@ItsLovelyLaveau I agree. Watching both parties bend over backwards to defend petty nonsense just because it's "their side" is getting really tiresome.
@SaycheeseDGTL Part of me wonders if this is just a pride thing. Somewhere there's an undercover cop who had to write a report explaining how he bought table salt that was being sold as meth. ๐
@Lawlatu@TimHannan I kind of agree with you. Eric isn't the president, so I don't think this is some earth-shattering scandal. If he was trying to get inside information before placing a bet and was dumb enough to put it in writing, then that's on him.
@CLosey911@hottea2026@SallyMayweather That's going to be a tough sell when the ultra-wealthy have so much influence over politics through lobbying, campaign donations, and special interests.
@CFOthegrog@DonaAime@ItsLovelyLaveau So physical violence in front of the White House is perfectly acceptable now, as long as it's only two guys and nobody gets stabbed? That's certainly... a standard.
@nonlinear_james@BlisterPearl I disagree. It seems pretty short-sighted to think the only people working minimum wage jobs are those with disabilities. Plenty of hardworking people get stuck in low-wage jobs because of where they live, family obligations, limited opportunities, or simple bad luck.
@MaggiequirkMQ@BriaResists@realstewpeters I don't disagree that innovators deserve to be rewarded. I just don't think that should mean the people helping build that success can't afford housing, healthcare, or a decent life. A healthy economy should be able to reward both.
@TimGunnells@sirDukeDevin It's weird how "DEI" has become a catch-all insult for anyone's accomplishments people don't like. At some point it stops being a policy debate and starts sounding like coded language to dismiss people based on who they are.
@theblackestlist@asdfjkmark@RightWingCope Who knows. I just find it unbelievable he would be casually texting about committing a crime with his entire family in the spotlight.
@laughingat45@TopCrackaReal@asdfjkmark@RightWingCope Having hundreds of millions or billions doesn't automatically remove the incentive to want more. History is full of wealthy people chasing even greater fortunes. At some point, it stops being about meeting needs and starts being about power, competition, or influence.
@asdfjkmark@RightWingCope I'm inclined to think it's fake because it's hard to believe Eric could be that clueless. Then again, with the Trumps, reality has often been stranger than satire, so who knows.
