I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the wealth of nations is median free capital.
It is not GDP
It is not GDP per capita
It isn’t even purchasing power.
It is excess wealth that can be put to speculative investment on innovation.
The U.S. wins because it has the tax code to not steal that capital and it has relatively low taxes that means more people have free capital in the system.
Smart leaders create this narrative: we’re going to make everything you MUST spend money on so cheap that you don’t know what to do with your money so you find ways that benefit you. Be that kids, property, or investments, starting your own business whatever.
And then you do nothing but setting about making healthcare, food, housing and taxes cheaper. And you can get rid of the welfare state if you make the things welfare pays for so cheap that even the bottom third can afford it as long as they work.
Europe especially has conflated the argument and thinks that GDP is the wealth of nations. It isn’t. It never has been. But they’re importing the 3rd world to keep gross GDP up because of that delusion.
@Nigel_Farage needs to learn this. There’s a winning position in this. @JMilei ‘s second phase needs to start with this narrative.
And it starts like this: we’re going to collapse the cost of living so dramatically that no one needs welfare as long as you work. Then we’re going to eliminate welfare for anyone but those between jobs and it’s going to drive you into a job.
Then weee going to split the tax savings between lowering taxes buying gold, and lowering debt. (After we balance the budget)
Then once our debt is under control again we’re going to rebase our currency on gold and make it a constitutional requirement with a hard ratio between printed money value against gold (ie $20/ounce) so that the only way that can ever change again is with 2/3rds of all senators and the states (and British equivalent) agreeing to change it.
And while you’re doing hat you change the tax law to reward capital investment and you change the banking laws to reward banks for cutting in deposits on the fractional reserve system so that everyone that carries a balance reaps the rewards.
Then your population doesn’t matter. GDP doesn’t matter. Your people are rich beyond all imagination and the excess capital is being used to innovate which further drops cost of living while making the nation more secure and wealthier.
This isn’t at all hard. Kit the low hanging fruit in healthcare gets you 1/3rd the way there to phase 1.

We literally did for 2 decades because the amount of cache and how far from the chip it was was vital. It no longer matters but most of the 90s and 2000s it was vital and made all of the difference. Slower clock would often be faster in the real world if the cache was done right. AMD K2 being the perfect example.
"The model of "democracy" that California has perfected can be summed up in one sentence: overregulate an economy to make life unaffordable without government handouts, then win elections by promising more government handouts to people who can't live without them."

Claim: Kyle Rittenhouse shot three people in the back.

Tell me you know nothing about Rittenhouse w/o telling me you know nothing 🤡
NFS is the dumbest file sharing system ever created.
Not sure how it’s 2026 and we still don’t have a properly secure mechanism outside of ssh on Linux and as a result every cloud has to stand on its head with crap of nfs or use SMB inside k8s/containers and the SMB integration is glacially slow.

And yes, fat people will be considered poor until medicare covers it completely because it will cut their other costs massively.
Then you'll just be considered a slob if you don't.
And that will end feminism because skinny women, even if not pretty will get male attention, and feminism goes out the window as soon as male attention that they want comes a knocking. (i.e. feminists LOVE 50 Shades of Grey)
Bari is doing a better job to present unbiased news than what came before, so I'm more than good with Option 1.
And the best part, is that she's already deprogramming my silent generation parents whom believe whatever 60 minutes tells them to believe, because they're getting both sides of the argument presented for the first time ever.
Note he doesn’t name specific falsehoods or define if they instructed him to include the claims of others that might be false because those claims are being made.
He just makes a blanket unfalsifiable statement like a good leftist.
Once pressed he’ll backtrack.
BRUTAL indictment of @bariweiss by Scott Pelley:
"For my part, new management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified." Then it gets worse...

@stronggirllolla Virtue signaling fat cows to get your ESG quotas up is almost as gross as using trans men in slings.
Meanwhile said “fat pride” token black woman will be a size 2 in 6 months because she’ll use the paycheck to buy herself some Ozempic.
@hell_line0 Meanwhile 25% of the female population offs their babies for convenience in their lifetimes.
And of those LTA more than half are for “mental wellbeing” meaning elective but covered up as psychological medical intervention.
