This is New Hampshire.
If you want an income tax, sales tax, or capital gains tax, move to Massachusetts, Maine, or Vermont.
Three convenient locations. One near you.
@T4man1603@PuddlePirate77 Just end it entirely. Apparently social security is “running out of money” but we have unlimited money for welfare and entitlements. So put the recipients on welfare and end it for everyone else. Done. Rip the band aid off.
If your bank said “Yeah, we’re gonna be shutting down soon and you’ll never get this money back” you wouldn’t make a deposit.
So why are we still paying into Social Security while government keeps telling us it’s bankrupt / isn’t solvent?
@NHDems Retarded take. Every problem with data centers can be solved in the legislature if people who understand the tech are elected. None of these people are in your party.
When someone proposes the government does something new or increases funding to something existing, the question should not be "Where will the money come from?" but "What should we cut to provide this?"
Ayotte is no retard, she’s just responding to pressure from the uninformed masses.
This is why NH needs people like me in the legislature who actually understand the tech.
“Datacenters bad” isn’t the right move. There are negative elements without the right legislative framework, and very positive opportunities with the right legislative framework. I will write all of this.
@bloodwealthsoil@GreenBean1776@NHpilled Both sites are owned by NextEra so even if we could commission our own plant (not sure we can based on current agreement) I wouldn’t want to get stuck in an agreement where we didn’t own the land under it. We need to get out of ISO-NE either way.
@NHDems That’s what we need. More burnouts in NH so we can be like MA. 🙄
On a positive note, it would be funny to see State Liquor steal all of the sales from MA/ME/VT and send hundreds of millions in revenue our way. Maybe you’re onto something here.
@bloodwealthsoil@NHpilled It’s privately owned. So is site two. Although I would explore the argument that their failure to develop Seabrook2 post acquisition amounts to price fixing / artificial supply constraint and see if we could take that back as a settlement…
