No doubt attendees will be warned to look out for scammers at @weekenderjersey. However, the biggest scam of all is the fact that drinks can only be purchased with tokens which need to be bought in advance - and which are non-refundable!

In previous years, the bars have frequently run out of certain drinks by Sunday. Whilst this has been a source of considerable irritation in prior years, it will be tantamount to fraud if one has purchased non-refundable tokens that cannot then be exchanged for advertised drinks.

I can’t believe that @weekenderjersey has introduced a policy encouraging binge drinking. This year, drinks can only be bought with pre-paid tokens, but since the tokens are non-refundable, anyone left with tokens late in the day will just order up several drinks and down them.
