@SpursOfficial@thfc31 One of our most valuable players last season. Top professional. Welcome back at the Lane anytime he wants!
Good luck and thank you Joao🤍
Not a Spurs thing, but again, more nonsense about Villa winning blah blah, Spurs won a trophy nearly a year ago, not worth much money wise, but Spurs have qualified for CL 7 times in 10 years. Consistent top 4 team. Built a ground, low wages.
Qualifying for CL a couple times and winning a cup, does not get you a consistent revenue generating football club when you dont look after the fundamentals, like not spending 90% on wages and not developing your ground to grow revenues to allow you not to have a 90% wage issue.
This isn't difficult to understand !
@AVFCchats So how did Tottenham do it? We were in the same position as Villa under Redknapp 15 years ago. But we didn’t spend 90% of our revenue on wages, we spend frugally on players and built a stadium capable of growing our revenue in line with City/Utd/Chelsea. Villa could’ve done that
@Leon88ElB@CraigHope_DM Another who doesn’t understand how it works🙄
We have revenue of £565m last year, we were in the CL knockout phases, we won the EL the year before, as well as the commercial events and sponsorship. Our problem has been been money to spend it’s been Levy not spending it
@dan_jr1987@martinreynolds9 You build a new stadium to host NFL, Concerts, boxing events and build £100m+ of commercial revenue outside of football each year. The fact that Spurs get tarred with the same brush as City/Chelsea when we have build our income organically instead of using state money is crazy
@dan_jr1987@Stephenlovelif1 Debt is there but it’s financed to a minimal amount each year. Our spending power is based on turnover, which based on winning the Europa League and being in the knockouts of the CL last season alongside our significant commercial revenue means we have a lot of spending power
@twill_94 We were in the same position as Villa and Newcastle 10/15 years ago. But instead of spending money we didn’t have, we built a new stadium which increased our revenues.
That allows us to be able to spend, on top of being in Europe in all but the last 2 seasons
Delighted to announce that this years chosen charity for the Maddison Invitational golf day is Dementia Club UK. A North London based charity helping families and individuals who suffer from Alzheimer’s. All in memory of my late Grandad Brian who suffered with the disease for 15 years. Let’s raise some funds and have a cracking day 🤍
"Following our defeat to Everton and subsequent relegation, Roberto De Zerbi has left his role as Head Coach.
We would like to thank Roberto for his efforts over the last eight games."
Must admit I was very impressed with the commentary from @Carra23 during tonight’s game, calling out the cheating and awful refereeing and VAR. saying exactly what fans have been saying for months.
#CHETOT – 85’
The referee’s call of no penalty to Tottenham Hotspur was checked and confirmed by VAR – with it deemed that the action from Cucurella had ended before the ball was in play.
Dejan Kulusevski. A thread on why he's been missing a year. What we can piece together for what this 'it's just a knock' was, why he needed a 2nd surgery and his 'small intervention' lead to him limping around in Sweden. R9 connection, and when he will most likely return.
