@CatLadyCapital Diversify your AMD into NVDA, AVGO, MRVL, APH etc. I'd still retain a stake in AMD but it's the least attractive valuation out of them all. Good time to consider adding some defence (LMT/NG/L3X) consumer (MCD/PEP), energy and industrialis (VST/GEV/BE)
@NotA_Bull Might as well take it to the casino, it'll be more fun. If you want to invest, there are many superior choices at similar or lower multiples.
The full new State Pension is £241.30 a week, or about £12,548 a year.
Each illegal costs an average of £40,000 per year.
So we are spending over 3 times as much on an economic migrant than on a person that has lived here and contributed to the country their whole life.
Arsène Wenger:
🗣️ “There was a time we had £90 million turnover and we had to pay back £22 million per year for the stadium. I couldn’t sleep because we had to qualify for the Champions League to pay back the money.”
🗣️ “We had to sell our best players. Other clubs came in with lots of money but we were on the same level from 2007 to 2016.”
This is why so many Arsenal fans will forever defend Wenger.
While rivals were spending freely, Arsenal were carrying the weight of the Emirates project. Every summer meant losing key players and finding ways to remain competitive enough to secure Champions League football.
🔴 Sold stars
🔴 Balanced the books
🔴 Built a world-class stadium
🔴 Kept Arsenal among Europe’s elite
Wenger didn't just manage Arsenal through that era. He carried the club through one of the most difficult financial periods in its history.
The trophies are part of his legacy. But so is the fact that Arsenal emerged from that period stronger, financially stable and ready to compete again.
Arsène Wenger was talking about “financial doping” years ago.
He was mocked, dismissed and accused of being bitter because Arsenal weren’t winning anymore.
Now Manchester City have been found guilty of the vast majority of the Premier League’s financial charges.
I hope the apologies are as loud as the disrespect was back then.
Without Wenger's sacrifices, there is no Arsenal of today.
@AlyshaR101 Earnings. While they can benefit from sentiment if macro trends improve, rates and inflation expectations in particular, they need to deliver on the financials or the stock to change course. From an investment perspective, the real estate portfolio provides a valuation cushion.
@steady_profits You've redeployed the capital in some good companies, with potentially great growth prospects. I'm not sure selling $NVO here, at a loss, is a good call. Imho their R&D pipeline and their core Diabetes business is underrated. They are priced like $LLY have ~90% share in GLP-1 🤷♂️
Kate McCann: Taxpayers are to pay £70,000 for the refurbishment of radical cleric Abu Hamza's wife’s home. A £1.7 million pound home and only she lives there. Is that fair?
Angela Rayner: I’m not going to get into individual cases.
Kate McCann: You’re the Housing Secretary.
People were warned.
“Mark my words, Labour will raise your taxes. You name it, Labour will tax it”.
Labour have taxed everything and already increased taxes by £70 billion in the first two years.
Andy Burnham is preparing for another huge tax raid next month.
