I was surprised by this policy, so I called and received same response. What is the proper protocol to explain to my daughter? Just exchange info and carry on?

@AACOPD is it new policy that the police department doesn’t dispatch officers for non-injury accidents? My 16 yr old (had her license 7 days and we were 30 mins away) was hit yesterday, called the police, and was told if no one was injured there would be no officer dispatched.

They did not ask for if she was in a safe location, how serious the accident was, etc. if that is a new policy, I don’t understand. What if the other person was drunk? What if … (insert any situation).
