@MsLMG79 Yes, there's a lot of talk about encouraging girls to take up sport, but when it comes to it there's a huge disparity in funding and facilities. My niece plays netball and did trials to get in an over subscribed team, surely there's scope for more teams if the funding was there
@sigourneybeaver It's definitely very moving, it's good that he found out just how much he meant to people and the important effect he had on their life.
The film of his life was on BBC2 last night, so it should be on the iplayer.
@postcard13 My granddad's road crew, the first one is auchtermuchty, mum said you could always pick him out as he worked the roller & had the dirtiest face. 2nd shows the structure of laying the road.
Last two are Perth and Kinross council crews I think with a good example of the tar boiler
