We already knew Karl Stefanovic would almost certainly be fired from his new job pairing up with Eddie McGuire on ARN Media, witches.
And we also knew it was all or nearly all because of us witches.
How did we know?
Because we’d already received aggrieved communications from ARN after we first posted about Karl and Eddie starting their bloke-fest Friday on ARN a few weeks ago, and we also knew they didn’t want MFW’s #KancelKarl campaign (which led to him being booted from the Today Show last week) to also target their new Eddie-and-Karl festival of bro.
As we said last week, we hadn’t yet decided whether or not to extend that campaign to the ARN show. But now, we don’t have to make that decision, since the point is moot.
Karl is kaput.
Here’s proof:
“It was not a hard decision for the company. Stefanovic’s own media venture, The Karl Stefanovic Show, had begun to increasingly cater for a One Nation-aligned audience, and the interview with Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, had caught the eye of activist group Mad F—king Witches. MFW declared they wanted to start a boycott campaign linked to Stefanovic. ARN last month agreed to pay more than $12 million to part ways with its former top breakfast host Kyle Sandilands, whose crude style of broadcasting had led to an MFW boycott that cost the company more than $26 million in advertising revenue.”

And yes, we’re glad.
Karl doesn’t deserve a mainstream media platform while he’s willing to engage in a love-fest with a known abuser and neo-Nazi, particularly as he didn’t even pretend to hold Tommy Robinson to account on any of his lies and hate. And even more so because of other bullshit he’d been spouting about Pete Evans, BRS and others.
There’s something else we want to say, too.
Which is that for the last fucking time: Karl didn’t plan any of these sackings. He didn’t want them to happen. He’s lost a shitload of money from being booted from at least two shows. He’s lost potential lucrative podcast sponsors, and the goodwill of hundreds if not thousands of people who thought he was a genial and uncomplicated media mate or contact. And he’s lost industry friends he desperately didn’t want to lose.
So why are people claiming this furore was orchestrated on his part?
Well, mainly to discredit us witches, of course. There are shitloads of people out there who don’t want to acknowledge our power or our influence, so would prefer to spread or believe rumours that Karl interviewed Robinson on purpose to get out of his Nine contract.
Yet there’s NO evidence to support those claims. Since there IS no evidence: they’re a load of fucking bollocks.
What really happened? It’s not difficult: Karl just got too big for his boots. Was enjoying new conversations and discussions with people like Hanson and Sandilands and Evans (among others), so thought he was untouchable because all those far-right dickstains around him were blowing smoke up his arse. Unlike his employer Nine, there was nobody to put the checks and balances on his behaviour needed, so he fell into the trap of thinking anything he did would be fine.
He didn’t do the research, and didn’t think anyone could harm his career.
And he was wrong. Simples.
Once again we’ll take this as another huge victory, witches. And once again we’ll thank this incredible community, who stand permanently ready to say enough is fucking-well ENOUGH.
Do we want to be the arbiters of media morals, ethics and decent behaviour, witches? No, no we certainly don’t. But as the mainstream media refuse to regulate themselves and continue to hero-worship the sad, stale older men who’ve had all the say for far, far too fucking long, there’s nobody but us to do this work and we will do it while it needs to be done.
