The role of a free press is to hold politicians to account and keep the public informed. It is essential to a working democracy. But to Doug Ford, our democratic rights are just an inconvenience.

We can and must do better. It’s by-election day in Scarborough Southwest, Hamilton East–Stoney Creek and York–Simcoe. Polls are open until 9pm. Get out and vote, and send Doug Ford a message he can’t ignore.

According to Peter Weir, one potential American distributor for "Picnic at Hanging Rock" (1975), who wanted to buy the rights of the movie, threw the coffee cup at the screen during the end of the movie and said, "I've sat here for nearly 2 hours and there's no solution to the goddam mystery." The movie wasn't released in the USA during the initial run. According to Weir, USA was the only country that didn't release it then. Distributor after distributor saw the movie & praised the technical side of it, but they didn't buy "it didn't end".

@DPG3134 @BillSimmons Definitely. And Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is right up there with Widow’s Bay. It is very well written and well paced (editing is excellent). Tatiana Maslany is superb in the lead role. Best two shows on Apple TV imo.
