He never admitted or claimed to be the owner, so in the absence of that, there was no legal representative available for the sheriff to contact, and if the gate wasn’t locked, the sheriff has the authority under an investigation to go until it reaches a locked door, and then would need a warrant. The presumed owner of the house is a jack wagon and for all we know, could be a squatter on the property who moved in after Eli got thrown in jail.. who knows.. but you can’t say this Sheriff had bad intentions, if he did he would have impounded the car and had it sold at auction and not tried to contact anyone, would have been way easier.
This exactly.
This picture should become iconic.
It should go down in the history books.
It should be re-posted a million times.
It should be made into billboards.
Because when it takes children to model appropriate social and moral behaviour to adults, then we know that something profoundly wrong has happened in society.
To quote WB Yeats:
"Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world"

Look upon your work.
And weep.
"He said he's a girl, therefore he's a girl."
This is why comedy is so necessary. A healthy society laughs at absurdity; a sick one takes it seriously.
@Theonlyvoice333@elonmusk Poverty has dropped by the billions of people in the last 30 years, all due to Capitalism, specifically after the fall of communism and the adoption of more capitalistic ways in China.
@elonmusk What a blowhard, brain dead liberal dick sucking weirdo, he can’t actually believe this stuff.. just doing it so all the purple hairs vote for him
Meet the California State Assembly Chief of Staff… in Sacramento he printed and handed out, “Allegedly Nick Shirley has a small penis, prove me wrong”
@TerrySchanz used tax-funded public resources to try to slander a journalist.
A perfect example of California politics.
State of Washington is investigating We Heart Seattle for picking up the needles and fentanyl foil they hand out.
For six years we’ve removed hundreds of thousands of pieces of used drug paraphernalia from Seattle parks, greenbelts, and neighborhoods, the exact litter created by government-funded distribution programs.
Now L&I is investigating us for “improperly” collecting the same needles and foil that officials freely distribute and then leave for communities to deal with. This bureaucratic overreach will drain time and resources meant for cleanups and outreach.

We pick up what they drop. Don’t let them stop us.
