Effective April 1, 2022, the City of Jamestown will no longer waive the processing fees for online payments.
In an effort to make it easier for citizens to pay online and over the phone during the COVID-19 lockdown, the city began waiving processing fees on March 17, 2020.
We continued to waive the fees long after our lobby reopened as a way to ease some of the financial burdens our citizens were carrying due to the pandemic. Now, two years later, we will return to the original policy of customer responsibility for online processing fees.
Due to hazardous road conditions, Jamestown City Hall will delay opening until 10am this morning, Friday, December 7th. Please use caution when traveling.
Due to severe winter weather, Jamestown City Hall will be closing today, January 6th, at 1pm. Please take care as snow and frigid temperatures move into the area.
RUSSELL SPRINGS: Donations will be collected at City Hall in Russell Springs Monday through Thursday from 7am-4pm.
Needed items include:
bottled water
diapers
non-perishable food items
baby formula
New blankets, coats, hats
In the wake of last night's devastating storms, Mayor Nick Shearer and Mayor Eddie Thomas are asking the citizens of Russell County to help gather supplies to be taken to our neighbors in Campbellsville and Mayfield.
JAMESTOWN: Donations will be collected at the batting cages at Jamestown City Park beginning today. Donations can be dropped off between the hours of 2-6pm today through Thursday.
Christmas on the Square is a celebration of community life, light, and love. Last week's Russell County Community Christmas Tree Lighting was such a beautiful moment as we gathered together to sing and celebrate with family and friends.

We have the BEST neighbors! Thank you to all the Monument Square Merchants who helped our Smart Start Students look for the Gingerbread Man! We ran and ran as fast as we could, but that Gingerbread Man was just too fast! Watch out! He's still on the loose in @jamestownky!

Be sure to pick up a candle from one of the baskets beside the tree before the beginning of the Community Christmas Tree Lighting tonight. The last two years have been hard for all of us. We have experienced a great deal of suffering and loss.
