@dan_abramov I think there still a single use case for this in JSX though. E.g.
const Component = () => {
return (
<ul>
{https://t.co/igD8Iu6Sn2(item => (
<li>{item.value}</li>
))}
</ul>
)
}
Refactoring this to another component doesn't make sense.
@synecdokey My team is contemplating to add strictNullChecks into our tsconfig. Did you come across any unexpected/hard to fix type errors with this config turned on?
@AlpacaAurelius How? If you watch movies made for children you'll find a pattern where the female character is always looking to do great things, challenging motherhood and trying to break the status quo. Adults get served with birth pains. It is psychological programming at the largest scale.
@dan_abramov @buildsghost Is there a reason why it's experimental and not in the stable build? I always thought using web components should be similar to using html components.
@adamwathan What is the best way to get people to use Tailwind? I find it very useful but most of the devs can't see the benefit of it; and continues to build overweight React components that do something a `mx-auto` does in a single line of code.
@frontstuff_io@adamwathan Tailwind CSS' idea is to provide the classes for flex and grid. It is up to the developers to decide which technology to use. E.g. flex gap is not fully supported yet. And grid does not have the reverse functionality. Based on these information we decide what's suitable.
@EmmaBostian Worked with a mom developer who went on a year off during 2020 to take care of his new born. She came back to an entirely different project and did very well. It's all in the brains, if you think you can, you can.
This (IMO) is the only reason why we shouldn't have same `id` attributes on the same webpage. Because the browser automatically exposes it as a global object. #mindblown#web#js#html#javascript
@willjohnsonio In large applications, TailwindCSS compliments Styled Components. TailwindCSS replaces a lot of repeatable, structure components (such as <Box>). But Styled Components is more suitable for single components (such as <Tooltip>). Examples from Material-UI.
@oliverturner I have never seen it's inventor calling Tailwind an "opposition" to CSS. But as a developer who's used Tailwind extensively in Project A, and also work on Project B without Tailwind; I can safely say that we would have saved a lot of performance bytes by using tailwind.
