@beverleyturner@Uber Same for every business that disrupts a market. Start cheap, undercut established businesses. Become successful, demand increases, prices increase whilst consumers continue with the idea it’s still good value. See: premier Inn, easyJet, Lidl etc. don’t pay it!
@benhumphrey_04 He’s not gonna come in and say, “we will sit back, invite pressure, defend poorly and play with zero intensity” is he….. no one should be sold on this until Christmas. Far more questions than answers. COSU showing very little joined up thinking right now.
@AJMSUFC It goes to show that the money being offered wasn’t on par with what’s being offered elsewhere. These boys have a very short career, it’s not about going to better clubs, for most it’s about earning as much as possible. On 2 year deals. The life of a non league player
@ScottyBarber91 Because he was offered a much reduced deal and as soon as ralphy went they backtracked and offered his current wages again?
It’s all about money and security at this level. Plus most players don’t wanna be there now. It’s a circus.
@JamieBoyce This is the issue for West Ham. The likes of wolves and Burnley will likely keep most of their squad. Already proven to be too good for champ. We will lose a lot of 1st team players. So who we recruit will be massive. It’s going to be very tough.
@CJPhillips1982@mjshrimper In football, it’s quite often not until someone has gone that you realise what a good job they were doing. I think we are about to see that come true. Kev’s stature was greater than Rees’s and he couldn’t handle it. Now we have no one holding this circus together.
@CJPhillips1982 Let’s get it right Chris. We were making steady progress with a small in comparison budget. Unless they throw big wages at players they won’t attract any quality. This idea that players will come is deluded. COSU. Clueless, obtuse, scheming, uneducated.
@CalTalksNL It’s all very strange. Bearing in mind Kev was let go as he didn’t get promotion. We will do very well to get close to play offs at this rate.
@__jacklawrence course, but from what I’m hearing and what I know. The decisions they are making are not from football people. Most of the squad want out, agents wont deal with them. Fans need to understand that saying you want change and implementing a plan to create change isn’t the same.
@__jacklawrence If they had their own man!? They’ve got no clue who to get In. If they gave Kev the backing he asked for then it could have been different. They don’t understand football. We didn’t go up because our group wasn’t good enough. Because he wouldn’t pay the money on wages.
@__jacklawrence They got rid of a manager because he questioned them and tried to advise what was best. He was sacked cos he didn’t get us promoted. Bullshit. He was sacked cos he was more respected at the club than Rees! No coach will want it, agents won’t work with them. Shambles
@SUFCRootsHall How about exploring the concept of being able to run a football club? When to offer contracts, realise money talks for players at this level? But yeah, try and feel connected to former players…. 🤡🤡
@__jacklawrence Claiming there’s a meltdown? We need a squad! Not everyone will start but you need characters. That squad needed 5/6. Walker, hops, morts fair enough. It won’t end here. I know a few players personally and this won’t end well. They are not a happy bunch.
@CJPhillips1982 Players realising the clubs run by clowns and jumping ship. At this level they need financial security which is why contracts should have been offered much earlier. Losing some real characters which will be hard to replace. Rees thinks players will sign based on attendances! 🤡
@SUFCGoals Reality is. He’s a wing back and that’s it. I’ve said it for ages. His goals and threat from there was why we couldn’t play a back 4. Awful 1v1 defender. Big success but also big part of why we couldn’t switch to a 4-3-3.
