As much as I want to talk to my kids after their games I allow myself 4 questions:
1. Did you have fun?
2. Did you try your hardest?
3. What did you did well or what are you proud of?
4. Is there anything you want help with?
And lastly... positive cheers from the sidelines!!

I think it's pretty clear what the league wants tonight
7 years into the NFL Kyler Murray 38-48-1 with 1 winning season.
Why do the Vikings think their 5'10 QB going to change??
I'm affaid the Vikings will trade JJ for penny on the dollar and JJ will have a wonderful career with someone else like Pittsburgh.
Just an absolute JOKE @anthonyedwards didn’t get a waver to be eligible for @NBA honors this year. Anthony epitomizes WANTING to play. Doing what it takes to play. He doesn’t take “personal “ days. He shows up. He brings it. He missed some for injury. He didn’t miss 4 convenience
Super proud of the boys this weekend winning the Upper Midwest Finals. They are starting to play some good basketball on both sides of the ball. Super fun group to be around. @mnfuryboys
We need to get away from the culture surrounding “circuit” and “open period” AAU where kids are taught that their value is tied to scholarship offers and rankings, while being surrounded by people who constantly reinforce that lie.
Some of the best SCHOLARSHIP players I’ve ever coached had very little recruiting attention early on. What separated them wasn’t hype, social media, or fake exposure - it was work ethic, consistency, toughness, and a genuine love for the game. They became great college players because they developed, not because someone marketed them.
Don’t put your future in the hands of conmen selling dreams. Don’t believe the lie that your worth is determined by “offers.” And don’t believe the adults telling you that your entire life needs to revolve around college athletics.
For many of these people, once you are no longer useful to their program, you’ll never hear from them again.
Basketball is part of life - not your entire identity. Develop your game. Be a great teammate. Take school seriously. Build discipline and character. If college basketball happens, great. But don’t let an industry built on hype convince you your value depends on it.
