Hey Ruby and Rails friends!
I’m looking for a position and would love to work at a Rails shop!
In addition to coding, I have 15 years experience as a Solutions Engineer and Technical Account Manager.
If you know of any open position please feel free to reach out. Thank you!
I have worked with Andrea longer than two of my kids have been alive. We've solved a lot of hard technical problems together.
If you need a developer you've found your next hire.
My loss (of job) is your gain. I'm offering 10% off my next Hotwire course which is in early access and still in development with the coupon code LAYOFF.

It has a few modules up with more to come, we're getting into the meaty bits next!

I get *so* many requests for self hosting helloquery
who is experienced in dockerizing and shipping Rails apps that I can hire?
It's not just dockerizing the app, it's helping me understand how to do this while protecting it (shell script + api key)? and most importantly how to push updates.
Totally agree with @cnorm35 on this one - the way the start to the week and end of the week build on each other in @bigcashmoneyfam membership is such a great way to create routine and habits when being self-employed.
If you haven’t heard yet, I have released the beta version of the SQLite on Rails Workbook on Gumroad: https://t.co/8mfudvYYRd

I'm #hiring! Looking for an amazing Rails dev with startup experience to help build @DiscoLink__ .
The best thing about being the boss is that I get to design the application process, which means no whiteboard, DSA, Leetcode, or take-homes.
The application process involves:
✅ an application with short answer questions
✅ a behavioral interview
✅ two pair programming sessions (1 with me)
I don't care about your open source contributions or whether you have a CS degree.
In fact, I don't care about your academic background at all. There's no degree requirement.
Come as you are.
I just want to know that you can build a great Rails app, you'd do well in the uncertain, often ambiguous environment of a startup, and that you're a great person to work with.
Job details and application in the reply.
Having built both IOS and Android apps with Turbo Native and React Native, I think a lot of teams are missing out on how productive Turbo Native is.
The ability to share screens across platforms while taking advantage of the native apis and is amazing.
Highly recommend.
also: I'm an independent Rails consultant who's a former Rails core team member.
So if you'd like me to embed with and augment your engineering team, please reach out on [email protected]. I'm excellent at shipping on my own, but I can also teach and level up your team.
We're looking for an intern to join us @GoRails this summer.
You'll build, test & deploy an open source @Rails app with us. It'll be a great way to get some hands-on, real world experience with Rails and mentorship.

🚀 Exciting Opportunity for a Junior Ruby on Rails Engineer! 🚀
I've got some news! As @RailsConf 2024 rolls into Detroit next week (May 7-9th), I've decided to sponsor a conference ticket for an up-and-coming Rails developer based in the Detroit metro area.
If you're a Ruby-lovin Junior Developer with ~6 months to 2 years of experience, this could be your chance!
🎟️ How to Enter:
1. Make sure you live in the Detroit metro area.
2. Double-check that you can make at least two conference days. (ideally, you can attend the bulk of it)
3. Reply on LinkedIn with "I'm interested!" and share your favorite record shop or vegetarian-friendly restaurant in Detroit. (I'm looking forward to some great local tips!) ...link in thread
🔍 If we get more than a few entries, I'll enter all names into a randomizer to pick the lucky winner. I’ll then contact you personally to let you know if you’ve won. We can even grab a coffee to discuss your career goals at the conference. ☕️
🌟 Extra Credit:
Follow @PlanetArgon on Twitter.
🏷️ I'll be attending the conference myself and will have some @OhMyZsh stickers on hand. Say hi! 👋
Let's make RailsConf 2024 unforgettable!
