@JK270towin@kaefair@Rachtebowiths ya red states are generationally distrustful of democrats. thats why a new politics is necessary. and that's why it's normal for hurting chapters of dsa to make a mistake endorsing a loser. no point in defending Brown's honor while poopooing our beloved comrades of akron.
@kaefair@JK270towin@Rachtebowiths if you want to change psl's electoral strategy then you should join and influence their internal democracy. in the meantime, if brown doesnt want to lose while running in the margin of error, perhaps his campaign should move to the left where he seems to be losing votes
@JK270towin@Rachtebowiths@kaefair and brown is throwing away votes by being a capitalist extremist. if he moderated toward levy's position and policies then he wont lose to vote splitting
BREAKING: United Auto Workers today passed a resolution at its convention, 321-287, to divest from Israeli bonds.
With nearly 400,000 members, UAW becomes the largest US union to officially divest from Israel.
The vote received support from a range of sectors, including a large number of Michigan auto delegates, in addition to legal services and higher education.
The original call for divestment came from a wildcat strike of 2,000 mainly Arab American workers at Chryslerโs Dodge Main in 1973. Amid the genocide in Gaza, pro-Palestinian labor groups and UAW locals renewed and intensified their campaign.
Speakers motivated for the resolution by citing the unionโs legacy of divesting from South African apartheid in 1978.
@doodlenaute Groudon is noteworthy for being the most phonetically pronounceable pokemon ever created. it's clear the 'ou' much like the words 'soup' or 'group' is intended to be pronounced with a uu sound. gruudon. gruudon is world-famous for this.
Something interesting you might not have realized:
A number of words in English are NOUNS when you stress the FIRST syllable...
But VERBS when you stress the SECOND syllable.
-SUSpect/susPECT
-CONflict/conFLICT
-PROtest/proTEST
-CONvert/conVERT
the appointed judges that review such an irregular map will always rule it unconstitutional if it ever favors democrats. judges rule based on whoever is threatening their jobs most effectively. i've never known a judge to rule based on law.
remember: there is no need for D states to do pizzamanders as long as they get over the mental hurdle of contiguity (which is not part of federal law) - you can draw a very compact IL 17-0 map and add new seats to the Chicago area by giving them satellites downstate
