@SW_Help Ok..who do the staff ie the platform guys with the paddle work for a soton station? ..He was the guy that said take the taxi and claim back..the southern train guard (with paddle guy) was on his coms taking info on the situation further up the line ..

@SW_Help The station guy who told be to take a taxi also said I could travel to Clapham and down to chichester that way but that wouldn't work for me due to time..so taxi it was...

@SW_Help This I would imagine all be on cctv on platform 3 leading up to the Brighton trains non departure...soton Station employee and guard standing with train that would of taken me..I was assured i would get the money back and never would of travelled...

@SW_Help And whoever works the platform at Southampton who was telling people to take buses to Fareham and me to take further away journeys like me to take a taxi..definitely soton employee had paddle in hand..

@SW_Help Correct.. sal to soton no prob.. that's how I spoke with the staff (1 was the gaurd of the 11.50 brighton train) at Southampton (platform 3) who advised me 2 take the taxi soton 2 chichester & claim the charge back..I would never of travelled on 2 chichester without this advice!
