@YorkshireWater In addition YW knows full well that councils have no power to stop or control ‘emergency’ work by utilities. However, it is about time that the Department for Transport gave LAs the powers to give direction on ‘emergency’ work in order to determine the level of ‘emergency’!

@YorkshireWater I sincerely hope that works on Queensgate Beverley are a genuine emergency because given already existing closure of Mister Way for highway construction you have brought the entirety of Beverley to a complete standstill tonight. Shameful and terrible planning.

@YorkshireWater Whilst Minster Way is closed for highway improvement works Queensgate is the only route to traverse Beverley. This work, unless a life risk should be postponed or undertaken at night. The closure could result in Article 2 issues due to the level of congestion across all Beverley!
