It is testament to how much children are aware of the current world, and how reflective they are but it really highlights the impact the current cost of living crisis is having on young people. It is clearly at the forefront of so many of their minds.

[Jamie Allen @JamieAllenEP]

I like to ask young people “what’s the best thing about being a child?” This was taken from the amazing Coaching Cards for Children (Morgan). I am saddened by how many children are replying with “I don’t have to pay house bills”.

@TEPHoughton Absolutely! Such a pleasure learning from all our incredible colleagues. A real privilege too! Definitely… want to consolidate the learning from today 😉

[Jamie Allen @JamieAllenEP]

@TEPHoughton Yeah, there’s always next year, if not before hopefully! Similar to you, very thought-provoking all round. Literacy support is a skill I need to further develop after today! I took something away from each session which means it was certainly a day well spent!

[Dr Keith Houghton @EPHoughton]

Really informative Eastern Conference Today

Great to see old faces, Twitter faces & make new connections @SuffolkPTS @LutonPsychology @JoannaStanbrid1 @katefallonaep

Very thought provoking presentation from Joe Elliot about Dyslexia that actually blew my mind🤯

Rest in Peace, Your Majesty. This is a very sad occasion, and it may be that you’re finding it difficult to process. You may not have expected to feel the emotions you are feeling, you are not alone. Reach out to those closest to you and talk about what Her Majesty meant to you.

[Jamie Allen @JamieAllenEP]

Today is the day for so many newly qualified TEPs! Those three years flashed by, but it also felt like a lifetime. Good luck to all those beginning their journey as qualified EPs. We will be great 😊

I’m on my final push for my thesis! Are there any amazing UK primary school teachers who could spare 20-30 minutes for an online interview into your experiences of working with trauma experienced children? Drop me a message if you can help!

[Jamie Allen @JamieAllenEP]

@DrWendland @SarSivers Thank you Sarah 🥳 look forward to celebrating with some lunchervision (️ incoming) soon!

[Jamie Allen @JamieAllenEP]

@TEPHoughton @EpsSouthend I get that! Your day will come, and the professional will gain another excellent EP, but for now enjoy the TEP ride! Thanks, means a lot!
