Hot weather happens in summer yes but it shouldn’t for this long and this frequently in the U.K. Tropical nights are where the minimum overnight temperature doesn’t fall below 20°C

The western Mediterranean Sea is absurdly warm at the moment, with nearly half of the basin exhibiting SST anomalies greater than +3°C. A buoy near the island of Mallorca, Spain reported a water temperature of 31°C earlier today. This is bonkers for this time of year.
