Honoured to speak at the TUC Black History Month event at the Pierhead in Cardiff about my journey into midwifery, the barriers I’ve faced, and how the Anti-racist Wales Action Plan helped me step into leadership.

Back in 2023 we conducted a major review into medical tests and assessments used on newborns which found that many of these were not fit-for-purpose for Black, Asian and ethnic minority babies.
