What’s this? Hot, sunny weather in Yorkshire? My wife was at work yesterday, I jet-washed the back garden. Today is a bank holiday, with temperature forecast 31C. We’re off for a day out into the Yorkshire countryside.

Happy 100th birthday, Sir David Attenborough. I was not quite 10 years old when “Life On Earth” became essential viewing. And I later introduced my kids to him with the “Planet Earth” series.

Thank you to @emirates for a couple of comfortable flights from Bangkok to Dubai to Manchester. The Manchester flight was very empty, everyone had extra seats to stretch out on. Looking forward to the next trip (whenever it may be).

Home, home again. Back in slightly chilly Yorkshire after a month in Thailand. Cleaning and unpacking mostly done, glass of wine already glugged, and thankfully it’s a bank holiday tomorrow. Back to work on Tuesday. Oh, and we flew over the Austrian Alps earlier, which was nice.
