@jeisson @Pixel_Chris @basecamp Clients just want to send a message quickly - they don't check notification settings. The default in a new thread is "send to everyone who can see the project", when it would make more sense to be "just the x people on the project", as they actually want the notifications.

@basecamp Why is this now the default setting when you create a new thread? I'm getting so many more notifications than previously from all the projects I'm in that I don't follow. Clients just want to send messages quickly, they're not going to be looking the settings

@jeisson @Pixel_Chris @basecamp A lot of us need access to projects we're not heavily involved in, so don't need notifications. The new settings (just following/on project) are great, but the issue is with clients in those projects starting new threads.

@webdarren When I was a kid, my dog while home alone tore apart two full advent calendars and ate all 48 chocolates, and followed it up by chewing through a wire. A busy night, but she lived for another 12 years after that. Current generation of dogs are just snowflakes.
