Pep Guardiola on Lionel Messi’s masterclass against England.
🗣️ “People keep asking me how Messi is still doing this at 39 years old. My answer is simple because football has never seen anyone like him. Age defeats everyone, but somehow it refuses to defeat Lionel Messi. What he did tonight was beyond football… it was art.”
“England didn’t play against an old player. They played against the greatest mind this sport has ever produced. Two assists in a World Cup semi-final, controlling the rhythm of the biggest match on earth as if he were playing in his backyard. That is not normal. It is impossible to teach.”
“I’ve stood on the touchline and watched Leo do things that left me speechless. Tonight, sitting at home, he made me feel exactly the same. Every touch had purpose. Every pass carried danger. Every decision was perfect. He didn’t run the most but he made everyone else run for him.”
“The frightening part is that he no longer needs his young legs. His football brain is ten seconds ahead of everyone else. By the time defenders realise what is happening, the ball is already in the back of the net or a teammate is celebrating. That’s genius. Pure genius.”
“People obsess over goals, but tonight Messi reminded the world that football is about creating moments no one else can imagine. Two assists that changed a nation’s history. Two passes that carried Argentina into another World Cup final. That is the definition of greatness.”
“At 39, most legends are sitting in television studios talking about football. Messi is still writing football history. He isn’t surviving at this level he’s dominating it. That’s why I will always say there has never been, and there will never be, another player like Lionel Messi.”
“When this World Cup is over, don’t just remember the trophies or the statistics. Remember that you witnessed a 39-year-old genius walk into a World Cup semi-final against one of the strongest teams in the world… and make them look ordinary. We are watching the final chapters of the greatest football story ever written.”
Mohsin Naqvi sb @MohsinnaqviC42 , please appoint @YounusK75 as Pakistan’s head coach and chief selector. He alone has the integrity, experience, and vision to fix this cricketing mess. A true servant of Pakistan and one of our most accomplished batsmen — the best choice we have

Pakistan need to ban housing societies, plant trees, ban Timber Mafia, Built dams and canals for storage capacity otherwise we wouldn't survive these floods for long. This is getting scary and dangerous this climate change will drown us in next 20 years

“Asim Munir has an insatiable hunger for power, which is why he has imposed the worst form of dictatorship. Instead of demanding that I apologize, Asim Munir should apologize to me. The events of May 9th (2023) were orchestrated by the same person who stole the CCTV footage. At present, May 9th has become Asim Munir’s insurance policy.
It is not a hybrid system that is in place in our country, but the dictatorship of Asim Munir. That is precisely why (President) Trump invited him instead of Shehbaz Sharif.
In their extreme fascism and oppression, they continue to target non-political members of my family. My two nephews, Shahrez and Shershah Khan, have been abducted despite having no involvement in politics. My nephew Shahrez Khan, who is an excellent athlete, was forcibly taken away. I am being held in complete solitary confinement. Over a period of three months, I have been allowed only three meetings. Even meetings with my lawyers and family are blocked for months at a time. All of this is being done to pressure me.
For the past eight months, my wife, Bushra Bibi, has also been held in solitary confinement. Such treatment of women is unprecedented in the history of Pakistan, not even under Yahya Khan.
Faisal Vawda, who acts as a mouthpiece of the establishment, issued statements that Bushra Bibi would seek separation from me. She was pressured to do so, but she stood firmly by my side. Previously, when Asim Munir was removed from the post of DG ISI, he attempted to contact Bushra Bibi through Zulfi Bukhari, but she refused. That is why she is being subjected to such cruel treatment today. She is kept in solitary confinement under deplorable conditions, where she has suffered electric shocks and physical wounds. She is provided polluted water to use. Every form of cruelty is being inflicted upon her.
Asim Munir is behind all this. He has neither morality nor an understanding of Islam. My message to him is this: no matter which member of my family you imprison to increase pressure on me, I will neither bow down nor accept this tyranny. I will continue my struggle for Haqeeqi Azadi (genuine freedom), no matter what.
Asim Munir is doing to Pakistan what Mohsin Naqvi has done to cricket.
The judiciary has been destroyed, the media silenced, and the police forced into actions that have criminalized the institution itself. Even during Yahya Khan’s era, such circumstances did not exist. The police are being used against the members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which has led to a rise in crime across the country. Unemployment is at its peak. The economy cannot be fixed by the SIFC, but through public confidence and the rule of law.
Criminals have been imposed upon us, despite the fact that ISI had itself shared with me evidence of their corruption and money laundering. All cases against anyone who left PTI were immediately forgiven.
Whenever dictatorship takes hold, it does so by colluding with judges. At present, due to shameless judges, the rule of law in Pakistan has completely collapsed. After the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the judiciary has become entirely subservient. These judges without a conscience do not take action against human rights violations. If our judges acted upon their conscience, provided justice to the people of Pakistan, and feared accountability before Allah on the Day of Judgment, then such tyranny would never have been possible. These conscienceless judges are equally complicit in this injustice and oppression."
