I was answering this specifically in relation to rising antisemitism, but I understand how it might have been heard differently.

To be clear, there is no greater concern for me than ending the occupation, apartheid, and genocide in Palestine and guaranteeing Palestinians right to self-determination, statehood, the right to return, and reparations for Israel’s crimes.

The Democratic Party has failed to address this issue in line with our values and our voters, going so far as attacking progressive incumbents and interfering in primaries with pro-Palestine candidates, which leaves a vacuum for those on the far right to lead on this issue. I think we have an opportunity now to force the party to reckon with our complicity in this genocide and to ensure our foreign policy platform is in line with our democratic values.
