Me: Hey, can you print this black and white document?
Printer: I am offline.
Me: No, you are not. Can you please just print this black and white document?
Printer: With my MAGENTA low??? Bro, you sound insane right now.
We now have a head coach who understands the importance of not only the passing game but the wide receiver position as well. And we have an OC who has developed multiple All-American and 1,000 yard season WRs. Nate Johnson is a rare athlete with rare speed. Get your 🍿 ready.
I was inside the Conference Center when @UchtdorfDF gave this talk. It was special.
But a thought entered my mind.
President Uchtdorf may someday be President of the Church. And given what is happening in the world today, it is also possible that President Uchtdorf will be the prophet when a World War breaks out.
How interesting would that be? A WWII refugee and later a German Air Force pilot is being prepared to be the Lord’s prophet in the upcoming World War?
The same way a surgeon just happened to be the prophet when a worldwide epidemic broke out. And today, amid political drama and legal chaos, a former State Supreme Court Justice is the Lord's prophet?
How cool is that?
But whether that will be the case or not, it is comforting to know that the Lord is in charge and guides his church today! Those little details would just be a cool anecdote on top of everything else.
Focusing on the Savior, His infinite Atonement, and what He has done for us will bring joy and clarity into our lives, no matter how many other concerns we have.
I cannot add more time to your days or eliminate the many concerns modern life brings. But I can offer this counsel: Not all matters are of equal value, and maintaining an eternal perspective helps us prioritize the things that are of greatest value.
This is why ancient and modern prophets have always and will always direct us to Christ.
Because Jesus Christ completed the Atonement, He has the power to help you along your earthly journey and to redeem you from death, both physical and spiritual. Celebrate the joyous message of Easter every day by reflecting every day on the blessings you receive because of Him.
Jesus Christ is the Resurrection and the Life, the Only Begotten of the Father, the Worthy Lamb who was slain, our Redeemer, our Savior, our Advocate, and most assuredly, the Risen Lord. #GeneralConference #GreaterLove
Here's the finished video.
I hope it helps bring the spirit of Christ into your Easter season!
I have a personal witness of the power of Christ's atonement and know that no one is beyond His reach.
Here's the Youtube link as well: https://t.co/AxgfwnLwLn
The song, "the Linen and the Shame," should be available soon on Spotify and Apple Music as well.
@dustinharding This is so incredible, Dustin, thank you for sharing such a beautiful witness! The Spirit was so strong while I watched, I want to just have this on repeat the rest of the day!
@JasminRappleye I’ve been teaching the 14/15 yo class for 3 years and have loved it but have always wished I could see them more. I remember having such close connections with so many of my SS teachers growing up, I feel like this change will help a lot of teachers gain that with their kids.
-President Dallin H Oaks
“By far, God’s strongest mortal help was His provision of a Savior, Jesus Christ, who would suffer to pay the price and provide forgiveness for repented sins. That merciful and glorious Atonement explains why faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the first principle of the gospel. His Atonement ‘bringeth to pass the resurrection of the dead’ (Alma 42:23), and it ‘atones for the sins of the world’ (Alma 34:8), erasing all of our repented sins and giving our Savior power to succor us in our mortal infirmities.”
Project Hail Mary opened last week. Great film. But nobody is talking about the credits. They should be.
A guy with a telescope spent hundreds of hours collecting light from objects so distant that the photons hitting his sensor left their source before Rome was founded. His name is Rod Prazeres. His images ended up on 70-foot IMAX screens worldwide.
Look at what he captured. The Rosette Nebula is a cloud of gas 5,000 light-years away that has arranged itself into the shape of a human eye, ringed by fire. The Vela filaments are a stellar explosion still spreading outward through space – blue threads so fine they look like frost on glass. The dust pillar in the Pelican Nebula is manufacturing new suns right now. While you read this.
None of it was rendered. All of it is real.
Weir spent years getting the science right. The filmmakers felt the same way about the sky. When they needed something beautiful enough to close the film, they went looking for something that actually exists.
They found it. 5,000 light-years out.
