"Even when he was tied to the stake, Anthony remained unrepentant and unruffled as he kept smiling.
"At one stage, he threw two N5 notes to a warder and asked him to give it to a named prisoner. When the warder did not listen to him, he asked the police to break the money into coins and distribute it to beggars.
"Before he could bluff the law-enforcing agents with his care-free, shameless show, a firing squad took up position, fired several shots, and ended his notorious life. He had lived and died by the bullet." — DRUM, 1979

Today is children’s day, but 46 innocent children learning in their classrooms in Ogbomosho, Oyo state were kidnapped by gunmen.
It’s been two painful weeks already and these children are still not home with their families, suffering out there in the cold and enduring fear and uncertainty that no child should ever know.
This is a National crisis and the government must use every resource necessary to bring these children home. Nothing else matters in this moment.
We owe our children a safer country.
Was in the clinic yesterday, started hearing people wailing, “owo gbe wahala gbe”,the deceased has been battling Kidney problem, after all the money spent, he eventually died, dis got me thanking God, bcos while I was trying to buy ram, some are struggling to pay hospital bill
For the first time in six weeks, I sneezed without pain. I had almost forgotten how that felt. That got me thinking 🤔 🤔 🤔
We are surrounded by things that cost us nothing and hold up everything. Good health, peace of mind, the freedom to move, to speak, to choose... Friends who know you on a bad day and stay anyway. The quiet dignity of owing nobody anything. These are the good things of life we barely acknowledge or value.
As humans, when some things are always present, we stop seeing or acknowledging them. Our attention drifts toward what is absent, what others have that we do not. We build whole identities around our deficits and lie awake calculating what we still need to finally feel like enough.
Then something breaks. A diagnosis. A loss. A phone call you were never prepared for. And in that moment you see, with devastating clarity, what was always there. What you walked past every day without a second thought. What you would trade everything you were chasing just to have back.
Gratitude born from loss is real, but it is also painful. The better education is to learn it before the lesson is forced on you.
This is not a call to silence legitimate grief or pretend life has no hardships. Pain is real, and wanting more for your life is not a character flaw. But there is a particular kind of poverty that has nothing to do with money... the poverty of a person who has much and feels nothing about it. Who is healthy but ungrateful, free but restless, loved but indifferent.
So before the chase resumes, pause over the unremarkable facts of your life. That you woke up. That someone would take your phone call. That your mind, however tired, is yours.
None of this is guaranteed tomorrow. That is the part we keep forgetting.
Somebody is telling you that he/she can’t afford to eat! You’re telling them to double their hustle & have multiple streams of income.
Una dey muzz me gan o 💔 mtchwwww!
What are they feeding on? What are they giving them to drink? How are they sleeping? A clothes for six days?
How healthy are they now? For how long will they carry on?
Sleep eludes me.

We are urgently appealing to the general public, kind-hearted individuals, friends, and well-wishers to help save the life of Nurudeen Zainab, who is currently battling severe health complications.
Last year, Zainab went through a very difficult pregnancy that caused her blood pressure to rise dangerously high. Sadly, she lost the baby, and since then her health has continued to deteriorate. She is currently receiving treatment at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, where she has been diagnosed with acute kidney disease, severe hypertension, and partial stroke complications.
At this critical stage, Zainab requires urgent and continuous medical care, including dialysis, medications, and other life saving treatments. Unfortunately, her family has exhausted all available resources trying to keep up with the overwhelming medical expenses.
We are therefore humbly appealing to the public to please support Zainab in this difficult fight for her life. No donation is too small, every contribution will go a long way in helping her receive the urgent treatment and care she desperately needs.
Your support, prayers, donations, and sharing of this appeal can make a huge difference.
