Made a small detour for the College Lake Lesser Scaup on the way home from Hull to Brighton
A day @spurnbirdobs Spring vibes from Yellow wagtails at Kilnsea Wetlands and 4 Garganey at Long Bank Marsh. A lingering Fieldfare and 8 Pink-foots, a Merlin powered south. The Barn Owl was very obliging.
So pleased that I have 2 great areas to WeBS around. Beeding Brooks and The Smugglers Lane ponds. Last week ringtail Hen and today LRP. Saddened that the farmer is ripping out the hedges. @SussexBirding
An impressive flock of 104 (methinks) Russian White-fronts over Rodmell Brooks, reluctant to settle after being spooked by distant gunshots. @SussexBirding

The White-rumped Sand at Beacon Ponds, Spurn. Juv Black Tern and Little Stint made a brief appearance.
Lots of fungi fruiting in the ancient woodland of RSPB Forewood, Crowhurst. Russulas, Boletus, Amanitas and King Alfred Cakes. @SussexWildlife @Natures_Voice
