Diego Cassiraga: 43yo, +20 years playing TCG, his 2nd final, 4th top cut at worlds, 2017 World Champion, 2026 runner-up
Takuma Yamazaki: 33yo, +15 years playing VGC, never qualified until 2026, World Champion at his first appearance
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!
Fedecampo is being vulnerable and sharing something very sad, and some kids who never got into competitive Pokémon before Champions Mobile are dogpiling him because they have no reading comprehension and think life is a shonen manga. It's making me mad
Good time to remind my card game playing friends that prep like this is horrible and is likely making you worse. Go into focus testing with friends with a real plan and questions to answer. Volume =/= improvement or learning.
@fireshoes@ArenaDecklists@mtgazone Went 4-0 on my first run after scrubbing out of the pioneer super qualifier!
R1: Mono Red Goblins 😈👹😈
R2: Izzet Phoenix 😈😈
R3: Selesnya Heliod Combo 😈😈

Another day another 5-0 with the greasy gang 🐀✈️! Vanishing Verse are sideboard flex slots for whatever you want. Decklist in alt text. @fireshoes@ArenaDecklists
Easiest 5-0 in explorer since winota 🐀✈️! Tried out the legendary lands but in the future would recommend running @tangrams list https://t.co/ZBqFIbHrWQ with Vanishing Verses over Dampening Spheres since lotus isn't playable on arena yet. @fireshoes@ArenaDecklists
Here is my "It should have been in Explorer Anthology" Anthology (10 rares, 5 uncommons, 5 commons) #mtg#MTGArena
I'm really disappointed in the anthologies overall. Stop dicking around with the filler cards. The slow drip isn't gonna cut it when there are so many cards needed.
"I shouldn't play [best deck] b/c I can't play it well/will lose mirrors vs better players etc" may be true for you this weekend but over time you are capping your success if you avoid best deck(s) for that reason and the only way to change it is to actually play those decks
Got the qualifier token in two tries! First try was 0 wins with Mardu Greasefang but got the 4-0 with Esper Greasefang! (Decklist in ALT Text)
R1: Mono Red 🐀🔥🐀
R2: Grixis Yorion Creativity 🐀🐀
R3: Mono Blue Spirits 🐀💧🐀
R4: Jundwhirler Treasures 🐀👺🐀
@HymnSleepless @fireshoes@ArenaDecklists Initially I was skeptical of titan too but its play patterns line up very well against the current explorer format.
Finally got🏆#4 with Jund Transmorgify! Need to tweak the sideboard a bit but deck felt as busted as winota. Combo plan with fair ramp backup clowns on all the rb decks. I even included a rough sideboard for the matches I played.
@HymnSleepless @fireshoes@ArenaDecklists Although there isn't any commonly played removal that hits Ulamog it doesn't end games any faster than titan. You could run a couple of copies in the sideboard. And as for agent it kinda only ends games when you combo on turn 3/4 but at that point you win with Titan or Ulamog.
3rd trophy with WINota! Domri and Ranger Class hard carried a sideboard game against UW and Guardian blowout won me the other one. Tried Thalia in a couple of other iterations but the explorer winota deck has too many noncreature cards imo to run her.
@moctzal @fireshoes It's been okay. I've had it kill manlands, anvils, and ovens but never drawn it to kill cage. But I've felt similarly about Lair until I swapped it into a basic because of Yasharn and settle.
