I'm delighted to announce that I've partnered with @micro_prose in a publishing deal for my combat helicopter game!
It will be released as Gunship Origins; the first Gunship title published by MicroProse in over 25 years.
As a huge fan of MicroProse games in the 90s, this couldn't be a better fit. I'm absolutely pumped about it.

As part of the recent work on campaigns I built out a whole weather modeling system Iโm super happy about. Seasons, macro trends, daily forecasts, high and low temps, precipitation, wind, itโs all there.
Just need to add all the weather effects like rain and snow and wind. Easy, right @dentonholmgren ? ๐
@kernowek_paul Donโt know exactly but I run it on an old GeForce 1080 and it works great. I think any reasonable video card should run it. Iโll get more details later. Any particular one youโre worried about ?
I just invented it. It chooses random weather systems like heat wave, cold snap, storm, clear, overcast, etc every few days. And then the daily weather moves toward that a step at a time each day. The season affects how those are applied, like a heat wave in winter is like 65 deg F, in summer itโs 95 deg F.
The temp is a sine wave during the day between high and low. The time you start your mission affects the temp which affects your lift.
