⭕️ REPORT | After 61 House Democrats urged the Trump administration this week to pressure Israel to allow Gaza’s 11,000 cancer patients to reach hospitals in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, Israel kept the Rafah Crossing closed Friday, leaving thousands of patients trapped in Gaza. Only 12 of the agreed 600 aid trucks were allowed to enter the Strip and no fuel deliveries were permitted for Gaza’s collapsed medical system.
Israeli forces have carried out at least 3,256 ceasefire violations across Gaza since the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement was reached last October, according to a report shared by the Palestinian side with mediators and obtained by Drop Site News.
In that time, Israeli attacks have killed 989 Palestinians and wounded 3,122 others. Friday alone saw 18 reported violations and 8 Palestinians wounded.
🔹 Israeli quadcopter drones opened intensive fire at civilian homes near Al-Sanafour Junction and dropped bombs on streets east of Gaza City
🔹 Artillery shell landed inside Abu Hussein School in North Gaza, wounding several civilians
🔹 Mohammad Rani Wadi, 12, shot in the left eye by an Israeli quadcopter drone on Roni Street in Khan Younis
🔹 Omar Al-Madhoun, 8, shot in the foot by armed militias operating under Israeli army protection in Mashrou' Beit Lahiya
🔹 Large-scale explosive demolitions of buildings east of Khan Younis, northeast of Jabalia Camp, and east of Jabalia
🔹 Israeli army vehicles carried out a military incursion into Al-Mansoura Street in Al-Shuja'iya neighborhood, with intensive live fire and continuous artillery shelling
🔹 Israeli army vehicles advanced and expanded the "Yellow Line" along Salah Al-Deen Street in Al-Tuffah neighborhood
Since the ceasefire took effect, 989 Palestinians have been killed — including 236 children, 110 women, and 30 elderly — and 3,122 wounded, of whom nearly half are children, women, or elderly. 95 civilians have also been detained.
Israel also continues to hold approximately 34 square kilometers beyond agreed withdrawal lines and has blocked repairs to electricity, water, and sewage infrastructure. Aid and movement restrictions remain severe:
Aid entry
▪️ Only ~36% of agreed humanitarian aid has entered — ~216 trucks per day vs. 600 agreed
▪️ Fuel deliveries at just 14.7% of required levels
Rafah crossing
▪️ Only 6,845 of 19,600 planned crossings carried out (~34.9%)
▪️ 88 individuals turned back at the crossing on the reported day
The WFP estimates 77% of Gaza's population faces acute food insecurity, including 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant women suffering from acute malnutrition — amid what MSF in May 2026 described as a "manufactured malnutrition crisis."
Darfur genocide survivor Niemat Ahmadi told lawmakers on Capitol Hill that after fleeing the atrocities in Darfur 25 years ago, she “never thought I would be sitting in front of you speaking about another genocide.” Ahmadi, alongside Darfur Women Action Group, called for urgent international action as U.S. ally UAE continues to sponsor genocide in Sudan.
Rep McGovern in the post below discusses the NBA’s relationship with the UAE and complicity in the genocide.

Actually, some form of Universal Care could be cheaper, offer better care, and be less bureaucratic.
But the Democrats think if you just write the legislation, that makes it so. It doesn't
Because other countries do it, it must be easy for us to do it.
Problem in this country is no one really knows what medical care or drugs cost.
Everything related to the cost of care has been made intentionally opague. It's a business strategy at every step. Every healthcare contract has a confidentially clause.
Hospitals don't know how to allocate costs to determine their true cost
If you don't know what the cost of what the government wants to buy from you, and the government doesn't know what the fully burdened cost they will pay is. And we don't know how high end hospitals can offer the same level of care at Medicare pricing. Etc etc etc
And of course every insurance company and big hospital system will tie up the legislation in courts for decades.
Ideology is not a strategy. Until there is transparency so a budget can be attempted , and the influence of the huge HC conglomerates is diminished , universal healthcare isn't achievable.
ICE is a reckless, dangerous agency that terrorizes communities. It's outrageous that my colleagues gave them another $70 billion while our neighbors are struggling to afford groceries, childcare, and health care. I voted NO because our communities deserve to come first.
Israel’s genocide has been funded by many people who bought Israeli bonds underwritten by major global banks. Barclays and BNP have stopped that: good.
Now waiting for @GoldmanSachs, @BankofAmerica, @Citi, @DeutscheBank and @jpmorgan to do the same.

ICE has no authority to detain U.S. citizens. But yet, Trump has let them operate lawlessly, and they have detained citizens for days and weeks at a time.
I introduced an amendment to finally put an end to this.
Israel’s culture of hate, supremacy & unbridled violence gave rise to genocide, ethnic cleansing & pogroms. Time to call things by their name & to call out the perpetrators. Accountability now!
🟢 Hamas condemned an Israeli Supreme Court decision upholding a law that tightens registration rules for international aid groups, calling it fresh proof of Israeli judicial complicity in starvation policies imposed on Palestinians.
The court rejected a petition by an umbrella group of 19 international aid organizations, including Doctors Without Borders and Oxfam, that had refused to hand over lists of their Palestinian staff, warning compliance would endanger employees and violate humanitarian neutrality. The ruling clears the way to ban dozens of aid groups, some operating for decades, from Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
Hamas urged the more than 20 states and organizations that condemned the law to translate their statements into action to force Israel to halt it.
The US Government Accountability Office released a damning report on ICE’s Camp East Montana in El Paso, Texas. Here are some of the worst details.
Shut it down now.
🚨 NEW: More than 1,500 Palestinian patients have died waiting for medical evacuation as more than 16,500 remain trapped in Gaza, the Health Ministry says.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said Israel is preventing more than 16,500 patients in need of treatment abroad from leaving the Strip, despite the ceasefire in place since October.
Acting Undersecretary Maher Shamiya said more than 1,500 patients who had received medical referrals died before they could be evacuated. Only 1,204 patients have been allowed to leave through the Rafah and Karem Abu Salem crossings since limited medical evacuations resumed on February 1, 2026, after the crossings had been closed for roughly 20 months.
Shamiya said Israel was systematically obstructing access to life-saving treatment through prolonged security procedures and severe restrictions at the crossings. He added that many of the patients could be treated inside Gaza if Israel stopped blocking the reconstruction of the territory’s devastated healthcare system and allowed the entry of essential medicines, fuel, and medical supplies.
He warned that “every day of delay increases the number of victims and threatens the lives of more patients.” The Health Ministry has previously said 6 to 10 patients die each day from treatable diseases or injuries because they cannot access the care they need.

Iran's military response to the US and Israel cannot be viewed in a vacuum — its decision to attack Tel Aviv and American military bases in the region was preceded by Israel's egregious war crime of killing negotiators working on behalf of Iran twice as well as the initial launching of hostilities by the Trump administration and Israel. Trump believed he could replicate the Venezuela outcome in Iran. The reality, however, is that Iran holds all the cards in these talks, and it will not give them up.
White phosphorus is a dangerous chemical that the Israeli military has improperly used across Lebanon, harming civilians.
I introduced an amendment to prevent the sale or transfer of white phosphorus munitions to Israel because it is the moral and strategic thing to do.
If you did not know better, you would think that this headline is from just yesterday.
It’s from August 1982.
Time and time again, Israel has chosen to bomb its neighbors, illegally occupy more land, and undermine efforts to reach peace.
It’s time for our leaders to wake up and see that Israel is not an ally.
A Jewish lynch mob has raided the Palestinian village of Huwara this morning, assaulting two Palestinians.
This, despite appearances, is not a story of "extremism". To describe it as such is to obscure the legal reality.
Settler violence in the occupied Palestinian territory has long been directed by organs of the State. The perpetrators operate as auxiliary militias, at times in civilian clothes, at times in uniform, but increasingly with functions that blur any meaningful distinction.
From that reality flows a conclusion that is as simple as it is complex. Under international law, responsibility lies not only with the individuals who wield the firearms, but with the occupying Power that supports their actions.
The remedy is not another condemnation. It is compliance with the law. As the International Court of Justice has made clear, Israel's continued presence in the occupied Palestinian territory is unlawful. The obligation is to bring that presence to an end, completely, unconditionally, and without delay.
Israel's war in Lebanon has killed thousands of civilians and displaced over a million — and the United States is bankrolling this terror. It's unconscionable.
We must pass @RepRashida's War Powers Resolution and stop the United States' complicity in Israel's war crimes.
The President is not well. He can’t stay awake at important White House events and cabinet meetings.
@WhiteHouse needs to come clean about why trump takes so many trips to the hospital and why doctors keep giving trump cognitive tests.
