Most Lebanese are Christian and the president of Lebanon has to be Catholic by law. I’m actually Greek Orthodox so even as a Christian I’m a minority because most Lebanese are Catholic. Yes, we’ve had immigrants from several different religions (up to 12) come in, including millions of Syrian and Palestinian refugees. So if you look at it, there are a lot of Muslims in the country - this is where the 32% Christian comes from - but it’s not true. As Lebanese our ethnicity and the way we were formed were Christians and providing a place where others can be safe being any religion in the Middle East. My area in Lebanon is still strictly Christian while Beirut is now mixed. It’s a long history and we have learned to live in peace with other religions. It’s the only way.

You want to know what’s crazy? I’m against Hezbollah and Iran and I’m thought of as being pro-Israeli. I’m against bombing innocent people and children and Israelis call me a pro-terrorist. I can’t win in anyone’s eyes and my home is getting demolished while I’m safe in another country.

Because of the situation we are in now. Jews and Muslims fighting in my Christian homeland. But Lebanon is now accepting of all religions yet still a Christian majority state. We’ve learned to live with one another in peace. Something that Israelis and Palestinians haven’t done and now the entire Middle East is paying for it.

Lebanon is a Christian country. The President of Lebanon by law has to be Catholic Christian. God and Lord Jesus please look after Lebanon and its people. Our country has been attacked time and time again by both Jewish and Muslim regimes. Beirut was invaded 16 times and rebuilt 7. We will prevail as we always have.
