Rekt energy - commercial
I gotta say I haven't tried something new and immediately fallen in love with it like I have with this stuff
Clean energy for literally whatever I'm doing, even making this commercial

“Rekt is my baby.”
If your founder isn’t this passionate about their project, invest in a different project
“This isn’t about the next month… or the next year. It’s about the next ten years… the next century.”

Figge (Yuga CEO) shares why the Daniel Arsham avatar mint in @OthersideMeta was so special
“people will find an appreciation for that specific avatar more than they would other avatars. And it's like the emotional connection and the story around it is the reason for that”
What will help drive NFT season 2.0 are immersive minting experiences like this that facilitate the story telling and world building
Where instead of a jpeg you have an interoperable 3d avatar that you can embody in a virtual world, strengthening the attachment and connection to the NFT

Bought more BRAINROT here going into the weekend
Thoughts:
The BRAINROT court activation is right around the corner and with it I’m betting attention will flow back to the collection
Selfishly I was hoping that BRAINROT would follow the trend where NFT collections that go parabolic over the weekend, then cool off and consolidate earlier in the week as people return to work
NFTs are collector-driven markets. Buying a NFT is often a more deliberate decision than buying a coin, and as people return to work their attention flows elsewhere and prices tend to dip.
Looks like we got the dip. Prices are down about 25% from the highs, which to me seems healthy mid week, so I’m taking advantage.
If you look at the $Rekt price you might think the brand is struggling, but there was an extremely important shift this year.
Rekt is selling drinks without token rewards attached to them, this is how you build a sustainable project
Last year, “we had 0 organic sales from non-reward items other than Base.”
This year, “our non-reward revenues are up massively.”
@osf_rekt
Swept up more, top 25 holder now
-art is sick/fun/different
-still cheap
-burns confirmed
-market cap still only like $700k
-cool weird stuff cooking like your brainrots going to court
-the artist is having fun, embracing creativity
Just feels right man idk, these will run
People are discovering and enjoying Rekt outside of our crypto twitter bubble
The real sustainable playbook is to trojan horse people with a good product and then introduce $Rekt, not the other way around
The path to world domination is becoming more clear

Figge (Yuga CEO) shares that a key step in launching BAYC back into the mainstream
“I think really going after the anime and not just making a trailer, but like really trying to go and make something bigger that’s an asymmetric bet.”
@mfigge
People paying 4000% above floor for certain traits has got to be on of the most bullish signals for a collection.
Rare traits are inherently pretty illiquid, so this isn’t for a quick flip
This is a collector collecting and displaying immense faith in BRAINROT
Higher imo
I started picking up a few BRAINROT nfts and wanted to write down some thoughts on why
one thing that immediately stood out to me is that a lot of the right people on NFT Twitter seem genuinely interested in it. That's not a thesis on its own, but it did signal to me that this project was worth looking into
From there what really ended up catching my attention is the speculative and gamified layer that's forming around the collection with the upcoming "brainrot court"
The collection wasn't just generated and shipped. The images were evaluated by the project's own generation engine for memorability and impact, and soon holders will be able to watch those evaluation processes play out publicly.
That creates a dynamic that feels different from most NFT projects and gives it some virality potential
You can already see evidence of it on OpenSea. Tons of buys are happening well above floor, which tells me people are assigning significant value to specific traits and combinations. Which to me is another signal this thing may have legs.
But honestly what I like most about brainrot is that it knows exactly what it is.
The art is obviously AI-generated slop. That's the point.
It's not pretending to be something else. It's taking one of the defining cultural phenomena of the modern internet brainrot and building an art project around it. And that's what makes it compelling.
I know it's AI generated. Yet I keep finding myself scrolling through OpenSea, examining traits and combinations, trying to decipher how each specimen fits into the broader language of internet culture.
For whatever reason I find it addictive.
I think @nuclearsamurai deserves a lot of credit here. His fingerprints are all over the project, not necessarily in any individual image, but in the curation of what the generator ultimately produces
At a high level, my thesis is pretty simple:
BRAINROT sits at the intersection of AI, internet culture, collectibility, and speculation.
The art itself isn't really the product. The evolving system around it might be.
Still early, but that's where my head’s at right now
A lot of people still think $REKT is just a drink company
It’s not. This is an early chapter in Rekt’s story
The drinks were always a distribution mechanism for the brand itself
“When you sell a million cans… that’s a million times someone’s gonna pick up and hold this can with a massive REKT logo on it.”
$REKT is a brand coin, think bigger
