Career changers overthink the entry. You do not need permission to be a developer.

You need one real project, finished, that someone else can use. That is the whole interview.

The degree can come later. Mine is coming later.

@Insharamin how did you find them? LinkedIn doesn't surface good accounts on its own, its suggestions push whoever posts the most. The finding method is the part worth writing up.

@YuhaoGuo1975081 actually it depends on your account size, my posts get 1-3 likes and no comments.

when i reply i get actual interactions with someone and occasionally a follower.

bigger accounts have more benefits from posts though since they actually have an audience

@edinsoncode shipping was never the filter, it was just the loudest part. Which one actually kills them in your view: distribution, charging real money, or staying interested after week two?

@danellisona the magic words part died, sure. What replaced it is harder: deciding what the model sees, in what order, with which tools. Everyone renamed it context engineering and kept doing it.

@yashhq_22 yes, but for a different reason now. The model writes the code, you decide if it's right. That judgement only comes from having written a lot of it yourself.

@Gorvmishra 2TB for me, i dont like moving projects or applications to an ssd bc thats like putting them in the basement and forget about them
