You are not going to believe how I got a 98 year-old
life long Republican to vote for me me instead of Jim Jordan in 2022:
The man pictured here is Bob.
When I first met him and told him I was running against Jim Jordan, he shot back that he was a staunch Republican.
I could have left the conversation there, but something made me engage him.
I then asked him a simple question: “What is your most important issue?”
I was shocked to hear what he said:
Social Security.
Like most seniors, he lived on a very short shoestring budget.
That was something I could immediately relate to.
My mother is currently fighting cancer, and relies on her Social Security to afford her medication.
Listening to him speak, I had an important realization - there are important issues that unite us.
Now that I’m on the campaign trail, I am meeting more and more people like Bob. Every single time, I get so angry that MAGA Republicans keep threatening that Social Security will go bust.
The truth is we could save Social Security and give everyone a raise if Congress just removed the Social Security cap.
It would be healthy and solvent overnight.
After my conversation with Bob he told me he would vote for me. He said he appreciated that I would fight for Social Security in a way that Jim Jordan never has and never would.
Sadly, Bob passed away earlier this year, but I cannot let him down.
This sweet old man was counting on me to help protect Social Security for all seniors in his position.
Let’s make Bob's dream of protecting Social Security happen.
“Morgan Stanley is crediting President Joe Biden’s economic policies with driving an unexpected surge in the U.S. economy that is so significant that the bank was forced to make a “sizable upward revision” to its estimates for U.S. gross domestic product.”https://t.co/8cBVPaZPR0
“Supporting Donald Trump sends a message to every abuser, every rapist, and every man who’s ever used his power to hurt a woman.
Because if he can do it, why shouldn’t they.?”
Another great ad by @ProjectLincoln. RT!
The Mayor is touting a budget award. The award is for the presentation- Yes, the document looks good, but the budget is $9 million in the red! Reserves are below national standards What’s her plan to balance next year’s budget & replenish reserves & when will the public see it?
The seductive allure of a third party candidate who is sold as being above the political fray has swung elections in the past. 2024 is too important for a repeat. A vote for any candidate other than the Democratic nominee is a vote for Trump.
🧵1. WOMEN: WE ARE AT DEFCON 4…
This is what I learned on @maddow last night. As we know, last year, @POTUS signed an Executive Order aimed at protecting women who have to travel out of state to receive abortion care.
Well, yesterday, 19 state AGs signed a letter demanding…
I just asked ChatGPT to write a song about Donald Trump going to prison, set to the tune of “Gilligan’s Island.” Amazingly, the app came up with the following verses in literally ONE SECOND:
🎶🎵
Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of Trump's demise,
From a golden throne to prison bars, his fall we can't disguise.
He promised greatness, power, fame — a leader strong and bold,
But deceit and lies were his whole game, a story to be told.
The trial started getting rough, the truth began to spread,
The former leader's actions shown, the darkness overhead.
With lawyers by his side, Trump fought, but justice would not bend,
No pardon to protect his fate, the law it will defend.
In a courtroom with the evidence, the jury found their way,
There’s no escape from what Trump’s done, no matter what he'd say.
The ship of truth sailed steadily, the verdict soon to land,
From glory days to prison cell, his fate now in their hands.
The captain of this fateful trip, the Trump of the White House,
He'll pay the price for all his deeds, no way to squirm or grouse.
He'll serve his time, reflect upon the choices he once made,
A cautionary tale it is, for leaders yet to fade.
As the tale concludes, we see, the consequences clear,
No matter who you are, my friend, the law remains sincere.
Let's learn from history's lessons told, to seek a brighter day,
Where truth and justice guide us all, as we move on our way.
