Increasing your overall daily movement will increase your overall daily energy expenditure, which will help facilitate fat loss (if combined with a calorie deficit) &/or help with easier weight maintenance.
๐
Tracking your food creates a sense of accountability & awareness.
Like a financial budget, it helps you to make better choices with your caloric spending.
Tracking has never been easier, or more accurate.
๐
There is no supplement as powerful or as effective as these two things (especially when combined):
1) Tracking your food.
2) Having a daily step count goal & reaching it.
๐
Eating certain foods, doing spot reduction exercises, or lifting weights w/ 2 lb. dumbbells, wonโt get you โtoned.โ
You get โtonedโ by doing 2 things:
1. Progressive overload through resistance training.
2. And, if needed, losing fat so you can see muscle definition.
The fitness fountain of youth trifecta:
1) Walking (cardio)
2) Yoga (mobility)
3) Weights (resistance)
Do these 3 things on a consistent basis to stay youthful, agile, strong & balanced.
If your goal for 2023 is fat loss & muscle building, focus on:
1. Creating a consistent small (10-20%) calorie deficit
2. Strength training 3-5xโs per week using progressive overload
3. Making sure protein intake is sufficient to help preserve muscle while in a fat loss phase
When my dad was 13 he lost a lot of weight on a โpopcorn & rootbeer diet.โ
Proof that anyone can lose weight on ANY knucklehead diet if a calorie deficit exists.
Us positive thinking fitness types are just gonna rub some people the wrong way:
You mean, youโre telling me I can feel better, look better, AND improve my health & well being by just thinking more positively, exercising, & eating fruits & veggies?? Ugh.
There will always be those who hate on those of us who decide to MAKE CHOICES to take control of those things which we can control. Youโd be surprised just how much freedom you have to create the kind of life you want โจ.

Short on time for your workout?
1) Go for a 10 minute walk.
2) Do 3 sets of push-ups (8-12 reps).
3) Do 5-10 minutes of stretching.
Pick any (or all) of the above & it will still take you less than 25 min. Even on your busiest days you CAN make fitness a priority.
