https://t.co/5NE8MI01Hr The day has come (again) that @debbie_wei and her amazing team thwarted the plans of the #66ers. The #Arena will not be built in #Chinatown thanks to their efforts. As the term #activist gets thrown around so much these days, it's almost meaningless, let's remember that Debbie has been a TRUE activist for decades - and she cont's to be an inspiration for me, and for so many other AAPI's fighting the good fight against injustice. to learn more about Kaia and Debbie, listen to this interview: https://t.co/IjLEAg3DS3
BREAKING NEWS:
Citibike's latest monthly operating report for April reveals that bikes within the Citbike network, a "bike sharing" system, sat unused 96.76% of the time, confirming that this a publicly-subsidized bike warehousing program where capacity is not being managed properly.
This isn’t a functional part of the transportation system — it’s a bold experiment in how little utility you can deliver while consuming massive public resources.
@lizkimtweets@Chrislejohnyc@WNYC Manhattan Jail? I toured Chinatown with the then-candidate, handed him our housing plan to bring 730 units of affordable housing to Chinatown, we have sadly no follow up, after he told me he would read it, and get back to me. Still waiting.
@TransAlt needs to acknowledge the name Priscilla Loke, who is a Chinatown senior, killed by an e-bike. Trans Alt chooses to IGNORE this woman's death, and instead invokes the name of May Kwok, who was killed by a maniac high on drugs, going 100MPH off the Manhattan Bridge, for no other reason than she was killed by a car. Recognizing Chinatown deaths solely by the method of how they were killed is disgusting.
.@nycdistrict1 support Priscilla’s Law. She was killed by an e-bike in your district several years ago. Now 2 killed on a protected bike lane b/c 1 was traveling on an illegal e-scooter. Registration and license so illegal ones are removed

Walking through the history of Chinatown in NYC – PIX11 https://t.co/ycLWgHFVur congratulations to the team at Chinatown Legacy Tours. My advice: stay far away from the morons in Orange hats that give b.s. tours. CLT is the real deal.
@bradlander Do you even know where Chinatown is ? If there was ever a one-issue candidate in the history of NYC , you're it. You don't know me, you dont' know my community, you can't even find Chinatown on a map. Plus you approved the Megajail budget despite numerous reach-outs to you. The contract you approved sealed the deal to allow 50% of the Borough based jails to go to ONE contractor, one with the worst OSHA safety record of all large builders in America. You're so preoccupied, you don't even know what this diagram is..
@LincolnRestler chinatown former tombs site : 2 acres. ready to build 730 units of affordable housing. https://t.co/zfBOtmpT1s . the current DeBlasio plan will cost tax payers $3K a sq ft. , that will make the megajail the most expensive building per sq. ft. to ever be built in N. America.!
@NYCMayor "No company — no matter how large or powerful — is above the law." What about construction contractors working to build the Manhattan Jail in Chinatown, idling. They are also subject to idling fines ? Please clarify.
