@davidrisher@lyft David- This ad is highly hypocritical. Last week I arrived at a restaurant presumably to pick up a passenger. Instead, two employees shoved 5 bags of food into my car, for a 30 minute delivery. Like your ad, it left an odor. I never signed up to deliver food. Plus, zero tip. Argh
@davidrisher@lyft David-In my view, if Lyft truly respects drivers, it would have a working phone # for drivers to speak to a customer rep, vs. chat being the only option. Verbal communication is much more effective and efficient in dealing with issues. After all, Uber has one. Very frustrating
@davidrisher That said, I deserve the same respect. I chose to drive for Lyft specifically for the streak opportunity & made a concerted effort to follow the rules. However mistakes are human nature, & respect requires taking that into consideration. Thanks & looking forward to your reply.
@davidrisher The rep essentially stonewalled me with templated answers and then dismissed me and ended the chat. That lack of willingness to look at my situation’s specific circumstances, coupled with their haste to close the case is honestly infuriating.
@davidrisher I know this is a lengthy tweet & I appreciate your time invested in reading this. I’m simply asking to be fairly compensated with the $15 streak bonus and no-show fee. Please note that I am not tweeting this publicly, as I respect you have a business run profitably.
@davidrisher This is the opposite of respect for the driver. Further, the lack of a phone option is also disrespectful in my view, because verbal communication is far more effective and efficient in conflict resolution than impersonal chats where the rep hides behind the virtual curtain.
@davidrisher As I couldn’t call support since Lyft doesn’t offer that (as Uber does), I messaged and was told in no uncertain terms that because I had chosen to proceed, I wasn’t entitled to the bonus nor the no-show fee. To no avail, I tried explaining the situation that I outlined to you
@davidrisher Upon attempting to call support (to no avail sas Lyft doesn’t offer a phone # as Uber does), I messaged and was told in no uncertain terms that because I had chosen “proceed” I wasn’t entitled to the bonus/no-show. I attempted to explain the situation, to no avail.
@davidrisher In other words, I completed 3 straight non no-show rides, so expected to see the $15 bonus post to my account, along with the no-show fee. However, neither happened.

@davidrisher However, after not receiving any next steps, I deciphered that “proceed” must mean staying with the no-show ride, and that my only option was to cancel. Once I did that, I received an offer for the next ride, which I accepted, as well as another immediately after that.
@davidrisher I pushed proceed because I presumed that meant proceeding with the next ride that was to come, especially because the steak bonus requires that the driver not cancel any rides. Thus, I was afraid that if I pushed cancel, it would void the streak.
@davidrisher Hi David- Treating with respect means Lyft’s customer reps treating each driver issue in a bespoke manner, and not with a blanket, dismissive response. I am a relatively new driver who this past Sunday accidentally clicked the “wrong” button on the app when a passenger no-showed.
Why isn’t Michigan incorporating McCarthy at all into the run game? How many times do we have to run straight ahead for 1 yd b4 it dawns on coaches that this same thing happened in the 1H of OSU game until they started running McCarthy. That opened up Edwards for his long runs.
