@ONTeacherSays I felt the same way until I started ordering the library books. Returns are no cost and easy. At least now I feel slightly better. Clearly not $200 worth of books though.
@breakfasttv How can you possibly blame a set of workers who are trying to better their working and living conditions? The government should make education workers an essential service if they don’t want labour distruptions. CUPE has a right to negotiate a fair contract.
We cannot normalize the use of the Notwithstanding Clause, particularly in collective bargaining.
It's been used to eliminate the rights of CUPE workers, it's coming for all of education.
No worker will have rights if this becomes standard practice. #onted#OnLab
@Sflecce Why did you take away a workers fundamental right to strike? Human rights are not suggestions! Government tried this already and lost. If you think these workers are essential, then you should have deemed them so. You caused this by your unwillingness to negotiate. You! Shame.
I am not an Ontarian, or a teacher, or an education assistant, but I have a perspective on the Ford government’s “Keeping Students in Schools Act”. I was Minister of Education in Alberta for 7 years, including the time the Charter was developed and enacted. #onted#onpoli
The Ford government is trying to take away our rights as workers - here’s what you need to know.
Hear from CUPE Ontario President, Fred Hahn on what legislation means!
