@VoteLewko@dragonandtonic@Lulu16Belle@AlboMP Good to know that you think some peoples lives are expendable - and that you don’t care about long COVID. Are you also in favour of making road safety rules a matter of ‘personal responsibility’ and liberalising all laws in relation to drugs? Didn’t think so.
@VoteLewko@Lulu16Belle@AlboMP There’s nothing stopping the government maintaining sensible precautionary measures - oh except selfish myopic people like you!
@AlboMP I am SOOOO disappointed that you are you being lead by the nose by Perrottet the neocon. Shame on you for caring more about the economy than people. No wonder the teals had such success because the major political parties just don’t care about real people!
@RammaRedDevil @NSWHealth Are you a Dr? Do you have medical expertise? The problem is we don’t know and we can’t assume. Remember when masks were said to be irrelevant? That was just an assumption based on past SARS disease? Like we didn’t about masks we don’t know about the effect of vaccination.
@RammaRedDevil @NSWHealth Actually, it’s probably an underestimate. About 50% of people who get COVID may get some form of long COVID…and anyway, you missed the real point. The actual risk is UNKNOWN … and even at 5% that’s still a LOT of people given our infection rate. https://t.co/eY3hMiDlMN
@RammaRedDevil @NSWHealth Let’s also not pretend we know what they are and can make informed rational choices. Also, let’s not assume they are insignificant. Even if only 10% of people get it, on last week’s numbers alone that’s over 20,000 with a long term debilitating disease. Precaution is needed.
@gards14@mick_soh@NSWHealth You know that ‘what aboutism’ is a dumb argument. In a thread about COVID condolences for deaths about COVID are to be expected. It does not in any way imply that other deaths are irrelevant. It’s just talking about the topic.
@RammaRedDevil @NSWHealth They don’t know yet. Aus govt says best way to avoid it is to get vaccinated so it doesn’t spread. https://t.co/woBOAJtYUL Nature says it MIGHT reduce the frequency of long COVID. Best to prevent its spread …https://t.co/E4j5pNP0eo
@jacob_633@NSWHealth Today is WED. Add 5,000 cases each for Sun & Mon - the missed reporting days. That’s 10,000 cases. That leaves 30,000-10,000 = 20,000 for other day left in the reporting period - yesterday, ie Tuesday. Therefore 20,000 cases for the Tues. No numbers for today yet.
@RammaRedDevil @NSWHealth Don’t believe the nonsense that case numbers is not a core metric. Long COVID means keeping the numbers down is absolutely critical to minimise ongoing suffering caused by long COVID. Who wants a shrunken brain?
@jacob_633@NSWHealth Why would you average the cases over 4 days when it was only two days missed? It also means there were 20,000 cases yesterday and still this government is too chicken to do basic commonsense things like re-introduce masks!
@TimWilsonMP Lying again Timmy. There was no retiree tax. Just an attempt to repeal a liberal introduced rort. And stop using the stupid ‘shadow labor’ line. If anyone’s a ‘shadow’ it’s you with your sham website and your sham enquiry …
