Chatting to my mom & she says... it's not that bad, he has insurance & at least no one got hurt.

I had to tell her to stop. When did we become so complacent to crime? We need to stop normalising this madness.

We moved from 200 000 to 300 000 recoveries in just 9 days!!! We also currently have a 98% recovery rate in closed cases and our active cases have stayed between 160 000 and 170 000 mark for 13 days now. This is really good news for South Africa!!!

I had a woman phone me. She was sobbing on the phone for over 10 minutes. She is a widower, has lost her job, has had no income since the start of lockdown & her children & herself have not eaten anything in 4 days.

Gun shots, car chases & more gun shots. Apparently there were a few house break-ins & a group trying to rob the mall.
