@isaiah_bb My older one did 3k in 2022 and my youngest is in 3k now… we are in BK and every family I know in both grades got a uPreK seat. Even if it wasn’t in their neighborhood they were offered something. I haven’t seen a shift since his administration but that’s just my perspective
@katie_honan Bad take. Grew up in Manhattan (and my parents grew up in NYC) where no one I knew talked about “the rockaways” till hurricane sandy, besides transplants who likes to surf there… It’s “the rockaways” to me 🤷♀️
@kenzianidiot Third places… have sanctuaries outside the house. Choose your gym, coffee shop or wherever you create a routine not just for convenience factor but somewhere you like, with people you want to be around.
@willystaley Every era has a target—always somewhere the rent is way above average. In elementary/middle school, everyone railed against Marc Jacobs et al ruining a formerly quaint block. Juicy Couture clad tourists started stopping at magnolia bakery on walking tours… the horrors!!
@hutchinson Wild to see this tweet framed like it’s new and so many give him credit for something that already existed a couple administrations ago 🤷♀️ My older daughter (now in 1st grade) had universal pre-k and 3-k. Universal 2s childcare is what he said he’d roll out FYI…
@NYCkopp Barely recognize some neighborhoods anymore but keeping it in the family… born and raised here like both my parents and now raising my two daughters here 🩷🩷
@majordouzie Neither of my daughters (whose preferences differed from each other in nearly every other way as babies) ever cared for a pacifier. Honestly I was glad because I think it’s super weird looking when I see a 3/4 year old who refuses to give it up.
