Hello! I'm a Masters student studying with @UofGInfoStudies. As part of my disseration, I'm looking for LGBTQ+ people based in Glasgow or Edinburgh who would be willing to be part of an #oralhistory interview. I hope to archive the audio with @OurStoryScot

Everything Everywhere All At Once was one of the most elaborate and ambitious films I’ve seen. Was not expecting it to be as funny as it was either. It’s definitely a film to completely let yourself be swept away with. Ask no questions and just enjoy the ride. 7/10 🥯
Making my way through the rest of Joachim Trier’s Oslo Trilogy! Reprise was an absorbing portrayal of how we desire cling to relationships. It had a unique way of story-telling that made the narrative amusing as well as provoking + sexy Norwegian interior design. 8/10 📚
The Northman was tremendous. Well-paced and filled the audience with gasps and howls. Robert Eggers just keeps improving and enhancing his film-making. Still reeling from Alex Skarsgård catching a spear mid-air. 9.5/10 🐺
Was dubious about The Outfit before heading into the cinema. Thought it would be just another obvious mafia movie but I was tricked and surprised multiple times. Great story-line, Mark Rylance was terrific and didn’t string itself out for over 2 hours!! 6.5/10 🪡
The Novice was an excellent portrayal of female pressure and competition. Slightly overdid the anxious inner-monologue from the off, which hindered the build-up of tension, however, there were some gorgeous shots and a satisfying story arc. 7/10 🥇
“I just want to feel things.”
The Worst Person in the World was beautiful. The silences of Julie wandering around Oslo gave me time to fill the gaps with my own reflections on life, death and the character. Trier exposes the difficulty with understanding one’s own emotions8/10🏃♀️
Boiling Point really surprised me. Thought I’d be taken back to the anxiety of my hospitality days but was actually taken on a journey that highlighted the painful intricacies of people’s lives. Barantini switches focus so many times in a stunning consecutively shot piece. 7/10🍽
Spent 5 hour megabus watching Fresh. Had to hide my screen from the older woman next to me at certain points, she probably thought I was watching a beef hot pot tutorial. Cleverly shot, anxiety inducing, sick performances, sprinkled w dark humour. 7/10 🥩
Loving the stunning remastered archival footage compiled in Disney’s Get Back Beatles documentary at the moment. Just wanted to bring a bit more attention to these remarkable fits from George and Ringo (I want all of them).
Henri-Théodore Fantin-Latour was born #OnThisDay in 1836. His still life, 'A Basket of Roses', painted in 1890, is now an iconic image of popular culture after featuring on the album cover of British rock band 'New Order', nearly 100 years later! https://t.co/RLe6LEE5cc
