This feels like a big win for Kalani and BYU Football.. Football is now its own entity, operationally, financially, etc. and perhaps most importantly it cuts out the need for BS to be a middle man. Kalani reports directly to Vorkink.

In today’s NIL era, football teams have evolved into businesses, they have their own expenses, overhead, ROI analysis. It’s about time we started treating BYU Football as the largest and most important business entity by far under the BYU Athletics umbrella, because it is. 💙🔥💪

1) Kalani was right in that his program should not do more with less. BYU agrees.

2) Santiago wasn’t the right man for the A.D. job.

3) Like Santiago, Kalani now reports to the VP of BYU making him both HC and A.D. over football.

Then when we actually need care, an insurance company gets to decide whether it will pay.

Healthcare should exist to keep people alive and healthy, not to maximize shareholder returns.
